After today we will actually be able to start to answer this poll. We don't know if the Magic will be certain to have a new SG rotation, but if G-Harris is released, then it is a given.

I am starting to think he will be retained, but only as a trade asset.

Anyhow: as of today, the rotation IS ...

Fultz/Anthony/Black
G-Harris/Suggs/Houstan/Howard

That is: the Magic rookies a way, way, way down the depth chart. Kevon Harris might get more minutes than Howard, that's how way down.

Weltman said many times we need veterans and shooting and yet nobody thinks Gary Harris will be retained....
I think he is the safest guard to stay outside rookies. I guess everybody here hate Franz and Paolo and want to make their life miserable. I wonder why we cant retain our stars..... I believe Weltman is smarter than that.
My money is on Banchero going number 1 !

Thoughts on if the Magic will make a run at Khris Middleton?

I dont think so. Middleton is qualified shot creator and will want to get paid one last time. We want to give that looks to Franz and Paolo. Using Middleton as a defender and floor spacer is not optimal.
Not everyone is ok limiting his attempts and sacrificing his numbers for the team like Gary Harris. Harris had his reason becouse we revived his carrier while Middleton was #2 option on a champion. I also dont believe he has enough health left to run after wings and he would have to here.

Now that we went Black, it's inevitable we have to move Fultz at some point

Old, injured, super expensive, and would have to play out of position...great player for a contender like MIL (or MIA, POR, etc), I just don't see it here.

Lopez is kind of a different story, IMO. I think he'll stay in MIL unless the MIL FO decides to try to rebuild quick around Giannis.

Return to Orlando Magic
