I would absolutely do scoot, Sharpe, Simons and multiple picks for Embiid. He just won the MVP a few weeks ago, I'm sure these young kids are gonna be really good, but I doubt they'll be an MVP someday. Dame, Grant, Embiid could win a ring, you push all the chips in for an MVP. Hell, maybe Draymond comes here cheap too and we resign Thybulle?

The thing is however like with most free agents, Portland is not a destination.

The Clippers think they are getting Harden for guys like Powell, Covington + filler and there is no
talk of trading Emblid at any price for like with Dame, he's signed long term and at 29, he has
enough time to perhaps earn another contract. Eastern time zone fans would not want young
players to replace the league's MVP unless that player is Victor.

I think we may have a 3-4 team blockbuster in the works, centered around Harden to LAC, Dame to Philly, LAC ??? That is where I get lost in all of this. What would we be getting back? 4th team? I can definitely see this happening as early as today, but have no idea what we might be getting back in the form of youth and picks.

LAC and PHI have nothing to offer for Dame. And Dame is worth much, much more than Harden.

Harden is about to command guys like Powell, RoCo, etc and 1-2 FRP.

to Phoenix for likely vet min.

I kind of wonder about going after someone like Wiseman. Terrible BBIQ and would help us tank the upcoming year with all his mental lapses on the court but it might be some of his issues are correctable with time and development. Probably not but seems like the kind of swing we should be looking for.

Any other ideas on buy-low candidates to bolster our PF/C positions?

You send Brown in for more assets (Houston?) & you move Simons fir a forward

If you could get Jabari and Timelord out of a Dame trade to Boston with Brown to Houston and try to squeeze another pick or another prospect, that's something I could live with - though obviously there are legitimate concerns about Williams' knees.
