Once Harden leaves Philly, Embiid may ask out eventually. Any interest for an MVP flopper?

There's certain guys over history that I could never bring myself to root for, even if on the Nets. Paul Pierce was one of them. That was excruciating, and thankfully it only lasted a year. Embiid would be another.

Lol at Harden trying to destroy the Clippers and Knicks next. Strippers work at strip clubs longer than he stays on teams.

Joel leaving the Sixers is the equivalent of Giannis leaving the Bucks a couple of years ago
Not happening anytime soon

Early discussion on the 2023 offseason

I wouldn’t be so sure depending on who’s the replacement for losing Harden, Simmons, Drummond, Curry, Howard, etc. Two coaches fired. Embiid will start looking at the franchise real soon.
Best part is we own their 2027 pick. I believe it’s 1-8 protected. I’d personally sell it to Portland at this point if Harden leaves and build a trade package around it for Lillard. If not, keep it. That pick will be gold for trades along with the Dallas pick. Embiid will be a UFA in 2027, the same year we cash in on that pick.

Embiid has a bad habit of blaming everyone else in a passive/aggressive way
“Player X sucks….. oh, and I must be better”
I can see him going if the Sixers regress substantially as it will give him another excuse but he’s a Philly hero and that’s a lot to give up & especially when he’s not the one copping flak

Re: Early discussion on the 2023 offseason
Guys wtf is going on? I honestly don't have a clue.
I can see us going all out for a stud to be 1a to Bridges' 1b or I can see us only making one trade of like DFS for a 1st for a young PG/PF. I hope we do not lose Yuta to PHX for nothing. I hope we can recalibrate our roster. I think the renouncing of the 2 ways might mean more than we realize. Let's see what happens today and this coming week.
I prefer we do not go all in for Dame. If Dame wants to come to us or MIA let POR realize MIA's deal is crap and then we can get him without giving up much. If not, I think we wait for another star to become available after improving our team this off-season.
Embiid, Luka, Booker, Cade, Zion (to a lesser degree depending on many factors), and even Ja might be available in a few years. We shouldn't go insane this off season unless we believe we can compete in the East now. That would mean we would need 2 A level players to be brought in. I do not see that happening now. But, I have been shocked by our FO in the past!

what's going on is i dont think we are going to be super active with big moves.
i think:
1. getting cam johnson back is the main priority, but if detroit goes crazy there's a TPMLE back up plan (strus? grant williams? vincent?).
2. williams or vincent could be more than backup plans, specifically Vincent since they need another ball handler and he can either play off Dinwiddie or come off the bench as more of a 6th man. They are clearly trying to lean back into culture so i could see them going back to the heat well if they buy into what he did this postseason as a sort of fvv-lite.
3. once FA stuff starts getting settled i think we will see 1 or both of royce/dfs moved. it's possible this is how they bring back a guard or stretch big. or maybe it's just for picks. neither is likely to crack the starting lineup unless the nets strike out on all their targets and both older than the team's window.
4. i think they are going to patiently lurk for lillard. nobody knows if he's going to ask out yet, if portland strikes out in FA and he asks out i do think nets would make an aggressive offer.
so overall i think in the next few days we will see:
a starter from FA signed multi-year (cam being plan A)
some movement with the 3 and d wings (who depends on what happens with cam)
a stretch big and ball handler of some sort added
nothing major but the roster will be rebalanced and probably get younger as they continue to position themselves as a destination heading in the right direction for the next big star that comes available for them.

I thought we’d see one of the bigger dominoes tip by noon, but alas Dame and Portland are pretty much holding the league hostage unintentionally right now.

harden is the bigger domino probably holding things up now. if he wants LAC i think thats going to happen, but what does that do to philly/embiid? my guess is they are kind of desperately looking for 3rd teams right now who can take expirings from LAC and send them better players.
kyrie another domino after that, is the phoenix stuff real? would the mavs s&t for ayton/payne?
i think the biggest domino holding up nets is cam/detroit.
it's too bad the 5 day waiting period is gone now when we are on the wrong side of that potential inconvenience. if it wasnt the nets would probably have a lot more leverage there since they can probably afford to wait more than detroit. i dont think nets make any dfs/oneale trades until they see what happens with cam.

A Harden trade should happen tonight to take advantage of extra flexibility in salary matching for expensive teams. I think it could be a MASSIVE trade with many teams and players, similar to how different teams and players kept getting added to take advantage of huge salaries moving around. Don't be surprised if a team looks to dump a decent player with future years for an expiring like Mills, O'Neale or Harris, or generates a TPE that can be used to take on a DFS or O'Neale without sending salary back.

I think Giannis, Luka, Embiid are all on the verge of being available.
I would keep our powder dry and wait till next off season to make an offer for one of those guys to pair with Bridges and Claxton.

Harden/Kyrie are just proving they are cancers.
Durant is over the hill and a terrible leader.
It was smart to get out when we did. These guys are never winning **** again.

He was aiming to go into a full time starting role. The Wizards are likely keeping him now. Wright and Morris should be available. Both bring wing defense, size and playmaking.

I love this time of the year, Offseason is almost as fun as the season especially when FA starts.

would be a good add if they think he can continue expanding his range. career 77% ft shooter. positive impact defender.
