The Athletic posted some of these hypothetical James Harden trades. I threw up the lunch I haven’t eaten yet when I saw Jaylen Browns name, but I was shocked to see the trade value he still has.

I personally wouldn’t give up that much for him. It will be interesting to see what he actually goes for.

I saw a NBA journalist propose Malcolm Brogdon, PP, & Grant Williams (s&t) for Harden. Personally I would consider it because that really doesn’t affect the core. But almost zero chance that happens.

I am surprised by this. Watford is actually a good player. He would be an okay replacement for Grant if he leaves.

This was my first thought this AM as we were getting potential Harden to LA news. What cucks.

OT but The Athletic is 15000x better than ESPN.com. It's embarrassing how bad that website is

Brogdon/PP/picks/whatever other filler salary needed for Harden would make a lot of sense, TBH. He's a great playmaking PG. He's transitioned to less of a scorer and more of a playmaker.

Harden / White
Brown
Tatum / Hauser
Porzingis
RWilliams / Horford

would be unreal. Not gonna happen though.

Someone in Harden's camp could've tipped them off when the Brogdon rumor broke...

Ah no. Harden sucks. The ultimate loser. I'd rather keep Brogdon and I am not high on Brogdon at all.

Just what the Celtics offense needs, dribble, dribble, dribble, then dribble, dribble, dribble some more.

really enjoying getting around the auto-censor..

Watford makes like 1.8M, 22yo, had a hugely promising first two seasons. What are they even doing with that extra flexibility? Do they need the roster spot?

No I think they are just letting around 20 TV personalities go today.

Jalen Rose also let go. Cost-cutting?

Kellerman, too.

They only have six guaranteed guys on their cap sheet entering this league year. So no, it can't be the roster spot.

I would gladly bring in Wadford for a deep depth.

Surreal even. If Harden came in with a "I'm all about the playmaking" and JB makes "I just want to shut down the best player" his mantra, this would be amazing. Very unlikely.

And could you imagine being Rob Williams out there wit Porzingis, Tatum, Brown and Harden?

Timelord: Coach, where do I need to be on offense?

Joe: Ummm.... just hang out near the basket, you'll be wide open.

Think we end up getting Smith or Jackson from IND in a Grant sign-and-trade.. unload Pritchard's money and it's cap-neutral.

Brogdon for Gary Trent Jr. and I think that leaves you enough room to use the tMLE on a back-up point guard..

I know hot stove in baseball is great and all for those fans and NFL free agency is a big deal but imo the off the court drama the NBA has not just leading into free agency, but most definitely at the trade deadline and even draft day deals is the best in sports.

C'mon Brad, JB and JT for Harden and Harris, who says no?

Seriously folks, I had to look him up. Really haven't caught much Blazer's ball the last few years. Looks promising tho: https://www.blazersedge.com/2023/4/30/23705173/portland-trail-blazers-nba-season-review-trendon-watford-damian-lillard-jerami-grant-nba-draft

Makes nooooo sense. Portland media's high on him, he's CHEAP, he's got a sneaky way of attacking the rim from the top of the key, he hit 39% on 1 3PA a game, which means he can at least knock down wide open looks when he's got time to gather.
