Yeah it gets annoying even in blowouts. But he's also one of a handful of commentators who do that so there's that...

Marcellus Wiley talked about cuts on one of his recent youtube videos.

Basically, Stephen A and Greenburg make a lot more money than everyone else there, but they aren't going to get fired since they're the stars of the network.

And it isn't effective to cut a bunch of cheaper people. ESPN can't function if they cut their producers, camera people etc.

So the mid-level people are going to get cleaned out. On-air talents are replaceable if they aren't the ones driving ratings.

End of an era. Van Gundy is a Finals announced, aka one of the best.

TNT should get him ASAP. Those are the 2 best guys at ABC it seems.

I’ve learned a lot from JVG over the years but it’s been mostly nonsense and silence. A bit of a grind. He’s low attempt, low accuracy like the teams he coached.

I believe after the new TV contracts kick in, they are saying that Amazon will be showing games on Thursday. I'm sure they will be bringing him aboard, along with the best of whoever else got cut.

This is actually what I love about him. I think it's funny that he just desperately goes on and on and won't let it go. It's like a standup comedian who runs circles talking a whole bunch of somewhat funny non-sense, you know what point he is making, but he just keeps going on and on. JVG makes a slight missed call 10x out of proportion it sounds like want to go off the court and murder the referee at that time, I found it very funny.

It know it sounds weird, but this is the case where some find it insufferable and some find it amusing. Make because I am a foreigner and just love to hear an old school yapping. I want him and SVG together so my TV is never quiet.

Yeah, I could see JVG ( and Doc for that matter….) sitting out this year and see how the landscape looks after the new TV package is done.

Hate that anyone's getting fired but Kellerman was reportedly making $5 million a year, which is pretty crazy. Some of these salaries are outrageous, I'm not really sure who decided Greenberg was going to be one of the faces of the network, but here we are. You can take the $7 million he makes per year and probably hire 10 people and still have money left over.

It's a combination of cord cutting, bloated salaries, and ESPN just putting in a bid and buying all the sports.
