Just to be 100% clear... the Magic have retained all four guards from last year's 34-win team and drafted guards with two lottery picks on top of that.
Think about that.

Predictable. More moves to come though, I can feel it.

I'm beginning to think we decline the option on Bol. Putting it at 60:40

I thought i saw the same guy in the original post say we were picking up Bol's too
ON SI "According to Jason Beede of The Orlando Sentinel, the Magic is fully guaranteeing the contracts for Markelle Fultz, Gary Harris and Bol Bol."
Maybe they made a mistake

Re: Magic Fully Guarantee the Contracts of Markelle Fultz and Gary Harris
If we know we cant sign someone like FVV guaranteeing Fultz contract made the most sense unfortunately. We dont want to give starter spots for free. Clifford is smiling somewhere (in Charlotte). Now Black has to earn his spot and i predict he will do it. Next year we will propably let Fultz walk and Black will emerge as our starter of the future. Unless he is Bamba, but i didnt found any information about his low motor and internet were full of those on Bamba before the draft (biggest mistake of Weltmans so far)
My money is on Banchero going number 1 !

Bingo.
Next guard moves: Don't extend anybody until we see what we have over the season.
I'm not a fan of Harris potentially blocking a lot of playing time but I think it'll be play a decent amount early -> give way to rookies, plus he's solid.
His contract becomes potentially appealing as an expiring for contenders by trade deadline.

Re: Magic Fully Guarantee the Contracts of Markelle Fultz and Gary Harris
This made sense because of the value and tradable contracts.
Making no further moves with this guard room does not make sense.
Hopefully they aren’t done. If they are, their strategy amounts to “just draft people and sit there until retirement”.

Re: Magic Fully Guarantee the Contracts of Markelle Fultz and Gary Harris
Unless there’s a rather significant trade coming, we’re having a baffling off-season. None of this makes sense and none of it makes the team better.
If you see something suspicious, say something suspicious.

Great. Now Anthony Black has his official role model.
