I wish Dame had more destinations he was open to.

Cleveland, for example, would have potentially a great return package for him.

Seems like it’s Brooklyn or bust at this point, and that doesn’t bode well for our leverage.

Keeping Dame and maxing out on Draymond is like swinging for the fences with a plastic bat. I understand Cronins position though. You HAVE to hit a home run if you’re “the guy that traded Dame”.

The NBA is in a weird spot with knowing what to do with young players coming off their rookie deals that actually develop into solid starting level quality players.

Seems like every team has their own Ant Simons, Tyler Herro, Jordan Poole type of player that's coming into their own, showing they're a solid 20ppg contributor and paying them as such, but the second they get that new contract, their value plummets for no other reason than earning a contract and doing what every team wants to see from their young players... it's a really strange development.

I agree. It’s like players fall into a few pots according to a lot of fans

Rookie Deal - Great
Franchise Player On Max Contract - Great
Players on minimum contracts - Great

Everyone else - These players **** suck and shouldn’t be paid more than 10 mil per year even if they are averaging 20 points per game

It’s ridiculous.

Yes, most players have flaws. Yes, they shouldn’t all get max contracts. No, you can’t build every team out of Superstars, rookies, and vet min guys.

It’s hard to find above average starters, and most teams have to over pay to get them, because they are in fact by definition around 16% of the pool of players in the NBA.

Rookie max extensions are a lot better than normal max deals as well. That's probably the best non rookie deal for a superstar

Why is it petty to want to know where you are seeing this because I have not seen anything like it.

If you want me to be more straight-forward I think you are probably misinterpreting the question asked of Dame which was "of these 4 other teams which would you want to play for" to be Dame saying "these are the 4 teams I want to play for".

So I was checking to see if that interview was what you were referring to. But you continue to be vague about where you heard the information you are purporting to be true so I continue to be in the dark.

What does Tyler bring to the table? He's maybe a minor upgrade to Simons, and also plays the same position as Sharpe, and I don't think we want Sharp or Herro to play SF long term...

The opportunity to flip Herro, Simons, or both to a third team for other assets?

You skipped everything I said to pinpoint one thing with an interrogative tone to your post. What kind of response do you want?

There’s pretty clearly a general consensus that Dame is interested or “linked” to two teams. Obviously we don’t know the full depth of that consensus’s validity…but how could we?

This is why I used a word like ‘wish’. I didn’t categorically deny the possibility there were others in existence.

A little patience and comprehension would have led you to that…but you chose to do what you did.

All of us are being vague, operating on conjecture and using our subjective perspective to try to make sense of an outcome that sounds best. It’s an effing forum, not the blazers front office.

That should clear it up for you.

No, you have misunderstood the report you are referring to, he was asked about 4 teams specifically and mentioned two because of his buddies on those teams. He has not restricted the teams he wants to go to at all and when you say that you are spreading something that is patently untrue and I have an interest in not letting fake news spread here.

I am sorry you take offense to me pointing that out and asking where you got conflicting information from. No offense was meant but you were spreading untruths and I wont apologize for trying to clear that misunderstanding up. Apparently you still do not understand how you have misunderstood what he said but what else can I do at this point..

Sweet, another undersized SG. Can someone pull on Cronin’s face a little and see if this is just Olshey in a Cronin mask?

As much right as you did in taking liberty with the meaning of my comment, rather than admitting you were hasty in your judgement of my meaning.

And you’re only going to confirm priors from this point, so let me free you by saying what you really want to hear…you were right mr moderator. I was wrong.

All eyes on Toronto at this point. Toronto needs a PG, Blazers need a forward. Both teams have discussed OG a lot and these contracts handed out should do nothing but make Simons look like a steal of a contract since he’s locked in for a few more years at his number.

Masai would ask for Scoot + multiple FRP for OG

I think the Blazers will end up using their MLE on Mason Plumlee. He's a small improvement
over Eubanks

They’re rolling the dice with Schroder at PG, so doesn’t matter anyway.

Also, you’re sooooo off with thinking Plumlee is a small improvement over Eubanks.
