Pretty sure that's the max he could have been extended for

It's 77. About 37+ first year.

They were one good move away from that young core really doing great things but that's an overpay for a **** player

And the Pacers do have the new CP3 in Haliburton but like... I don't think there's enough talent on that team for Bruce Brown to be a great piece in that rotation.

Let alone for that much money which... means he's a starter right? I guess their SG?

Yeah I agree with this 100%. Hali is a hell of a player but I don’t know if they’re riding too high on how good a season Turner had and they think they can do more but Bruce is a great piece. I still think they’re in the play-in next year though

This is what this franchise would feel when/if JB is signed to a supermax:

There is hope with the supermax thing. Maybe they're still negotiating.

Whoa that extension is huge for the Celtics. 2 years $60M vs the max of 2 years $77M is huuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuge for our cap sheet next year. We were right on the edge of going over the 2nd apron. Now we have plenty of comfort room to fill out the roster with our top 7 signed (8 if you count Hauser).

This should remove any need to do a salary slashing move with Brogdon. If he's traded now, it should be for basketball reasons.

I’d be surprised if he gets the full 5 years 35%

We're gonna resign Grant and add Beverley and Javonte to minimum contracts. Flip Pritchard for draft compensation or a small TPE.

C Rob
PF Porzingis
SF Tatum
SG Brown
PG White

Bench: Brogdon, Al, Grant, Beverley, Javonte, Hauser, Kornet, Griffin, Davison, Walsh
Nothing wrong with having a different opinion - as long as it's done respectfully. It'd be lame if we all agreed on everything :)

Welp, if teams can't get what they want with these dudes leaving the FA market then maybe they'll make a call to Brad and we'll see some deals done to round out this bench.

Wanna know details on KP deal. Maybe they didn't negotiate clauses/bonuses like games played. Just fixed it at 30M per for two more years.
