How do you know that?

Couldn’t Carter have chosen Chicago over us?

Chicago has only Caruso at PG. There’s more opportunity there.

I don't know that, but the Wolves IMO have a much better team than the Bulls and if they had offered a million more a year to Carter than Chicago my best guess is he would have taken it.

Maybe.

Could be Connelly wasn’t a fan.

I don't know why Dane makes these kinds of leaps. I think it is relatively unlikely that these two players are going to combine for $14.5MM this season.

I'm very underwhelmed with us getting Troy Brown Jr.

I am warming up to it, hope he is not making more than Prince for the Lakers.

All I will say about that is he's not the same type of player as Prince. I will argue he's a better defender on the perimeter as well as more skilled with the ball and will take better care of it. Considering his age, my guess he's actually better for Edward's timeline than Prince.

Horrifying thought.

KAT for Kyrie in a S&T.

Ugh

If this is it, then I agree with you. Considering what we should have paid these two, I'm expecting at least one more signing. If we overpaid for both of them I will be disappointed

Cuban doing his usual:

Free agent Kyrie Irving has agreed to a three-year, $126 million contract to return to the Dallas Mavericks, with a player option in third season, @TheAthletic @Stadium learned.

Talk me off the ledge. Thanks. My proximity to the Grand Canyon makes a little pep talk necessary.

Check out player comp. Depending on what they paid him I will be either next to you or happy.

Honestly would have preferred going this route. My guess is that Chicago offered an opportunity to get a starting role.

At this price I'd rather find three undrafted players offer them partially guaranteed deals or two way.

My unfounded take is that Minnesota may have offered Taurean Prince a deal to come back, but he wasn't interested. If that is the case, then Troy Brown Jr. is a solid pivot.

I liked the Troy Brown Jr signing, as long as it's not an outrageous amount.
His game is sorta Kyle Anderson lite, less playmaking, right about same defense but more of a shooter than Kyle.
He's the archetype that Minimus keeps talking about that Connelly likes in his players

Retaining Naz and NAW is great but Troy Brown Jr is an EXTREMELY disappointing player to spend invaluable cap space on. If he had any value, the Lakers would've kept him considering how strapped they are.
