Outside of Reid, who scores on the 2nd unit? Also, this tells me the Wolves aren't real pleased with WMJ's progress and don't see much help from him this year.

Shake?

In 11 games as a starter last year: 38 MPG, 20.3 PPG (52/41/97), 4.8 RPG, 7.2 APG.

45 Career starts: 31 MPG, 15.3 PPG (50/43/86), 3.6 RPG, 4.7 APG.

I posted before seeing the Milton news...couldn't be happier even with the TBJ signing. I'm very pleased with the job Connelly has done!

I've always thought Milton's handle was too poor to be a primary ball handler, but he'll probably be playing with guys like KA, Naz, probably a starter like KAT or ANT that would be the ones that would really be the offensive initiators

I'm not gonna lie, I did hope we'd get some big FA but I'm super happy with this offseason so far. Way to make up for that dumpster fire last offseason TC! Keep it up.

Great job by the front office in getting us guards with length that can shoot. All of them.

It all fits under the cap all tied up in a bow. We're a better team.

What about J Mac and his 2.5 mil team option

Why? Its only 2.3M and he's been a good player for us when he hasn't been battling a calf injury.

We also had to make that decision before we could make any signings I believe.

What is Milton's defense like?

On/Off shows Philly was definitely better on defense with Shake on the floor last year - and even more so in the Playoffs.

Over five years ago. I really like his skill set, he slots in as an ideal Jaylen Nowell replacement.

Good call, i had a similar one, but it was only last year in November:

"I'd see if we can get Shake Milton from the 76ers if his minutes decline once Maxey comes back.

averaged 20/6/6 as a starter and helped the Sixers go 4-2 with Embiid, Harden and Maxey out"

Sptballing 2023 salaries:
Shake Milton: 4.8
NAW: 4.3
TBJ: 3.7

Total: 12.8 million

Knight cut and Jmac's contract guaranteed.

The nice thing about Knight getting cut is that now we can afford the roster spot/$ to match a minimum offer for Luka Garza.

Brown turns 24 in July, and started 45 games next to LeBron, which isn't going to happen if he doesn't like how you are playing.
He offers shooting and defense like Prince, but is a better ballhandlers and more of a 2/3 instead of a 3/4.
Some of our most frustrating moments last year came with the ball in Prince's hands with the shot clock running down.
I still think he has upside and he has a really nice looking jump shot. He and NAW are going to be chasing a lot of the same minutes.
And with Jaden's issues with foul trouble, some redundancy at that spot was needed.

Milton - Not a pure point guard or eilte ballhandler. Statisically a nice body of work.
Don't know a lot about him. Hopefully this is a great signing.
At least this should push Jmac to 3rd string/emergency backup. If it doesn't, we have problems.

NAW - Good price point here for what his role will be.
Nice tag team defender to pair with Jaden and outside shot looks sketchy out of his hand but numbers told a different story.
Upside left here too.

Overall a small step up from the Austin Rivers/Bryn Forbes pupu platter last offseason.
A bigger upgrade would have been nice, but honestly didn't see anything realistic out there.
If all 3 of these guys play average to above average defense, it's a big win.
We aren't asking these guys to start, just to carve out sub 20 minute rotation roles ideally.

Looking forward to seeing how these guys look for the wolves.

Not looking good for Moore. If the organization thought higher of him, doubt they would have brought back NAW and McLaughlin as well as signed Milton.

Free Agency is now DONE. I don't see any trade on the horizon. I'm going to go to SL and then waiting for Camp to start is going to be agony.

I think we have one more roster spot for a rookie minimum... whether we use it or not is another question.

We will have to use either more of the MLE than the 5 million taxpayers MLE, or the BAE to sign both Milton and TBJ.
Either avenue leaves us hard capped.

So realistically, NAW and Moore will compete for time behind Ant. Brown and Minott for time behind McDaniels.

Conley, Milton (6'5)
Edwards, NAW (6'5), Moore (6'5)
McDaniels, Brown (6'7), Minott (6'8)
Towns, Anderson (6'9), Miller (6'11)
Gobert, Reid (6'10), Garza (6'10)

Nice size and competition for backup playing time on the wings, with PG and C/PF being locked up
