Yuta the shooter

Great signing for the Suns. KD loves this guy and we will too.

Pretty automatic from the corners, hustles and defends hard, excellent at playing around stars, good length, and one of the best teammates in the NBA. Brings pure joy and energy everytime he's on court.

The stats don't impress, but the skillset is nice. Hopefully he blossoms for us.

Skillset AND attitude/mentality.

Yuta is a guy that is playing the hardest when he's on court and cheering the hardest when on the bench. He's team first and won't pout if he isn't getting minutes.

For a bench utility guy you can't ask for better fit than that.

Reading this about all three of Yuta, Keita and Metu. Eubanks also fits the hard working, great attitude description. Nice to have likeable guys on the team rather than having to root for the likes of Kyrie, Harden, etc.

This is crazy, everyone BUT suns fans are saying this is a great signing at a good price. You'd think watching shamet and chuck for the last few years would have everyone jumping for joy but yall thought we were gunna sign Kyrie for the minimum or something I guess

KD is clearly a big fan of Yuta.

Yuta will be a Suns legend by December. That’s how fun he is to watch, shoot and an ultimate glue guy.

He’s going to have a few nights where he’s just on fire from 3, has a big time block and getting the fans roaring.

I know - highlights, and they got whooped. But good showing nevertheless - I loved the blocks. With better teammates around him he'll likely be able to do all of these things as a bench player - he just has to hit 3s at a higher clip.

Huge win by Japan over Finland but Yuta playing while noticeably limping out there with a bad ankle.

Happy for Yuta, concerning for the Suns prospects since he was clearly playing out there when he should have been sitting.

He was holding his thigh after a dunk in previous game. If he has ankle issue too, I'd be very concerned about his durability.

We'll need all the injury luck next season to win a 'ship.

Likely the thigh and ankle issues are interconnected.

He's clearly not right but there's no way he will sit out when Japan has a chance to qualify by winning against Australia. It'd be some story if they did, but for the Suns sake I'm wishing for a Japan loss.

If he was playing through it I doubt it's anything serious and he has a couple months to heal from it which should be plenty of time for recovery.

I love how he is helping his team even on a bad condition, the guy has courage and the last game was an exciting win for Japan.

Australia 18.5 point favourite. There should be some line between risking to aggravate an injury and trying to help for a surprise win for your country. I'm not sure with his line in last game he's of much help either.

He is always a positive player on the court for Japan just for his size on defense and threatening as a shooter/slasher on offense.

Yuta was the best player for the Suns vs Australia but his limitations are as we all know he is not able to create his own shot and being slight of build he can't guard the interior very well.

Team Japan was just too small and without Rui on this team no way were they going to have a prayer against an Australian team with multiple NBA players on its roster. I'm not sure why Rui decided against playing for the national team but the man just does not seem to have much competitive drive and lost a lot of my respect for him.
