The FVV (3/130) and Jerami Grant (5/160) and Rui Hachimuira (3/51) signings are atrocious.

Most of the rest pretty reasonable.

Flummoxed that Bruce Brown signed for only 1 guaranteed year, even if it was a huge overpay at 20 mil+.

Mavs doubling down on Kyrie Irving.

Harden big mad Morey will not pay him and now wants to go to a team (Clips) with absolutely no assets to offer besides the 2 guys he wants to play with. Funny how when you want to be traded every other year teams are hesitant about paying you big money on a long term contract.

Shake might be the Kyle Anderson move of this year. I like it!

Let's hope so! Also hoping Troy Brown can be our Bruce Brown signing!

I noticed a number of Games last year with TBJ over 20 points and maybe a time or 2 over 30 points. At least it seemed that way.

Just went back and watched highlights of Milton, Alexander Walker, and Brown Jr. Alexander Walker and Brown Jr could absolutely feast playing with Milton. He gets to the paint so easily, if they can spot up and stay clean they're going to get lots of open looks, Anderson and Naz Reid too

I don't get the Pelicans declining their 3rd year option on Herb Jones instead of letting him hit restricted free agency next summer.
Then paying him 13+ mil a year. Were they afraid he was going to get huge offers next offseason?
And doing that put them into the tax too. Make it make sense.

Dennis Schroeder gets full MLE from Raptors? Lack of defense, doesn't seem to be their kind of player.
Derrick Rose to the Grizzlies. Maybe he can get through to Ja.
Seth Curry to the Mavs for the BAE.

Draft picks:
10. Miller (1.10)

Unguaranteed:

McLaughlin 2.32

Veteran Minimum (2+ yr) cap hit: 2.02 million
Luxury tax threshold: 165 million

11. Moore 2.42
12. Mclaughlin 2.32
13. Miller 1.80
14. Minott 1.72

162.13 million

Very rough estimates for Milton, NAW, Brown Jr assuming ascending contracts for the numbers reported.
Assuming Miller gets the 3 year 2nd round pick exception.

That leaves one open roster spot, Clark yet to be signed, and Garza and Ryan as restricted free agents.

Filling the last spot with a vet min (2.02) brings us to 164.15 million, only 885 k below the tax to use on 2 ways (we paid out 950k to 2 way players last year according to hoopshype).
Filling the final slot with Clarke on a rookie minimum (1.10) brings us to 163.23, 1.77 million below the luxury tax.

Leaving the roster spot open leaves us at 162.13 million with 2.87 million remaining below the tax.
With only 14 roster spots filled, we are limited to 90 games active from our 2-way players.
This is the most likely scenario IMHO.
Under this scenario we could elevate a guy like Luka to a regular contract late in the year to be playoff eligible and only have to pay that prorated portion of his regular salary.

Clarke gets a 2 way, and Garza and perhaps Ryan are brought back on 2-ways if they can't find guaranteed minimums on the open market.

Garza could be brought back on a vet min and Clarke given a 2 way. Then we are threading the needle all year managing time given to our 2 way players hoping we don't get devastated by injuries.

I really want Luka back

Thank you!

Fellas, what’s not to love? This is good. Connelly = Spurs ball?

I see a lot of D and a lot of passing.

Rotation:

Conley 30/Milton 18
Ant 35/NAW 13
McDaniels 32/Anderson 16
KAT 34/Naz 6/Anderson 8
Gobert 30/Naz 18

Active but on the bench
10. Brown Jr
11. McLaughlin
12. Moore/Minott/(Garza?)
G League
13. Moore/Minott
14. Miller

2 ways:

Luka?
Ryan?
Clarke?

It's great to get excited.
These guys do project as our 8th 9th and 10th rotation players though, fighting for a projected 31 minutes of playing time, all players being healthy.
Depth at those spots in your roster is really most important when injuries hit.

Milton in particular really stepped up when injuries hit the Sixers, which is a good sign.

Tax set at 165,294,000.

That's an extra 300k of room than I bad baked into my projections.

Lol of course. We offered Prince who could've been cut and they decline then trade him for capspace.

We had to guarantee Prince's salary to trade him and still salary match. So unfortunately that would not have worked with Morris.
Wizards picked up a 2nd from Detroit apparently too.

And if we had done that, no NAW or Brown either. I would rather have Milton+NAW+Brown and a 2nd round pick, had they been willing to take Prince + a 2nd.

This is the 2nd time I've seen this. Schroder is a nice defender. He can pick up the ball full court and is good on the ball. I don't like the fit for the Raptors because he can't really shoot.

Well I mean he's better on the ball than DeAngelo Russell. But who isn't.
He's just been so inconsistent throughout his career. Seems like a panic signing to me.
Just make Scottie Barnes your full time PG.

Picking up his option would have made Herb Jones an unrestricted free-agent.

It's going to be very curious to see how much money DeAngelo Russell gets and from what team.
Does he even get the MLE after the disappearing act in the playoffs?
Lakers overpaid the crap out of Hachimura though.

This is not accurate, contracts have to be guaranteed to be tradable.
