I’m just gonna look at Brook coming back at a high price as that’s just what it cost to keep Giannis happy…. I’m hoping there’s a move out there still that brings in a higher caliber player than the combination of Grayson/Bobby/Pat. But as far as Brook goes, if that’s what it takes to keep Giannis happy in Milwaukee, **** it.

Winning would make Giannis happy, and if we overpay Brook and prevent ourselves from adding a good player who could actually help come playoff time, we're cooked.

I get what you’re saying but I have hard time agreeing only for the simple fact there arguably wasn’t a free agent available this off-season that can impact a NBA game the same way Brook Lopez can. I realize he is super matchup dependent when the playoffs roll around but Giannis credits a lot of his defensive freedom around the fact Brook is an anchor behind him. I just don’t see how anyone available would have the type of impact you’re implying. In theory, what you’re saying sounds great but in reality it just isn’t all that realistic imo. Maybe I’m wrong, but Bobby Portis falls in the same category and is less valuable to the roster than Brook so we should be looking to move Bobby and Graysons expiring to find the player you’re implying we could sign. That to me seems more realistic..

Something else to add to this, I know AG wants to go to a more aggressive switching defensive scheme, but not having a big body rim protecting center did not have good results for Toronto which is why they traded for Poetlt last year.

Giannis can walk in 2 years. Middleton can walk in 2 years. Jrue can walk in 2 years. My guess is Brook will get a 2+1 deal and can walk in 2 years. Let's win another title. We can and we will.

Let the chronic complainers complain. No matter who we draft we should have drafted that guy instead. No matter who we sign we should have signed that guy instead. No matter who we trade for we should have traded for that guy instead. When Horst get fired one of them can go from realgm to being a real GM. It's easy.

Jalen McDaniels seems like a better gamble to replace Crowder in the same exact role. The obvious should hold serious value; much younger and much more athletic. But, when you traded for someone at the deadline and fired the coach he felt didn’t utilize him properly, I can understand still thinking you have something valuable there….

Brook needs to end this speculation so we can move forward with this off-season. Whether the Houston stuff is media hype or leverage or whatever, just make your decision lol.

Sure McDaniels would be better but I don’t think he will sign for the tpmle

Every off-season I’m underwhelmed by Horst. So far we’ve been realistically linked to…Terrence Davis? While seemingly every other team is making shrewd moves.

Realistically if we bring Brook back it probably prevents us from the TPMLE(assuming we also bring Jae back). But unless you think the player we could get for the TPMLE is going to be better then Brook then I'm not sure you can afford to pass on bringing him back.

If we let Brook walk, we'd have the full MLE, thanks to Khris. We could bring in 2 players, both could be guys that help us in the playoffs.

In that scenario we are losing Brook & Jae and adding one full MLE guy. How are you getting we could add 2 players?

Every off-season I’m underwhelmed by Horst. So far we’ve been realistically linked to…Terrence Davis? While seemingly every other team is making shrewd moves.

Early on in his career Horst was pretty adept at making good low cost moves(Brook, Pat C, Bobby, Wes in 2019, etc.) But the last few years he's been pretty disappointing in this area

Their defense was good, but they needed a room runner on offense.

Yeah, the screenshots of that floating on twitter were the only thing to make me seriously wonder if he's gone.

Hopefully it's more of a defense mechanism from seeing any comments from the outside world. While making the decision itself. Like Giannis shuts off the world for the offseason, his public profiles.

What makes you think that? Philly certainly didn’t do him any favors by playing him like 14mins a night and then completely removing him from the playoff rotation.. plus I’m sure Horst would offer him a player option on his final year making it more lucrative, I would think 2/12 with a po would be a reasonable offer for someone willing to bet on themselves and rehab their value after a poor 2nd half of last season…. Maybe I’m just being optimistic about the possibility of the Bucks signing him tho, that could definitely be the case lol

We have no money. And getting guys to come to Milwaukee, even with Giannis, is a heavy lift.

This is definitely true I just looked at his page and it’s completely emptied. Not even a profile pic.. I hope you’re onto something ShootingTheJ but I got a bad feeling about Brook leaving if that happens…

I think Brook is clearly our top priority right now and whether he signs or not determines what money we have to spend elsewhere so I doubt you really see us sign anyone above the minimum until Brook decides.
