That calf has been bothersome for a couple seasons. Not sure if part of that had to do with the Blazers shutting him down early...

The Grant extension happened in a vacuum, I think. Even if you trade Lillard, they’ve got a pretty decent roster in place without him or including any return:

Scoot
Simons
Sharpe
Grant
Nurkic

Scoot and Sharpe are on rookie deals so the Grant deal doesn’t hurt as bad. If you add in a Lillard return, you might still have a playoff team there.

Just got rid of vv (albeit unintentionally), to go back to treadmilling with Dame.
