Beverley thing is a joke. This really is Morey's retirement gig. Could we please get someone who gives a ****?

I disagree that Powell's contract is bad. He's a good player and has played for Nurse.

Agree, you do that trade if it's on the table.

I'd do the trade with another pick.

Do you really think we can offload Harden's deal without taking on a not great contract? And get other assets?

I actually don’t hate it if it’s at the vet minimum for a year. Would I like to spend some money/assets on another big lead guard to pair with Maxey or as a primary bench ball handler if we are giving Maxey the reigns, absolutely. But if Beverley ends up as an end of the bench energy vet/third string PG, I can see that (and I’ve never been a huge Pat Bev fan). In a handful of games in the regular season when injuries and back to backs pile up, he has a place…but no more than that.

Yes. If we don't get what we want, we can sit on Harden. We have all the leverage now.
Clippers or whoever need to come correct otherwise we can force Harden to play it out.

Re: Sixers Offseason Thread Part 3
If we trade for that trash being reported by the Clippers with no follow up move, I might actually not watch next season. I did not watch years of Hollis Thompson and Isaiah Canaan for Norman Powell, lol. That’s the bleakest **** I’ve ever seen. Morey would have to be instacanned.
I’d rather watch a tanking team for a glimmer of hope.

Seth Curry at 4m per seems like a way better investment.

Seems like a smokescreen to me....if PHX is the actual team involved. Although I highly doubt that too, given that there was no 3rd team to take on Deandre Ayton.....

Unfortunately, they know that Embiid will get them a top 4 or 5 seed no matter what. Doesn't matter after that.

I really hope that Part 3 of this thread isn't as full of whining and quitting like Part 2 finished up. Damn, why don't we let this play out before burying Morey and proclaiming the Sixers DOA? Trust me, I'll be the first to hammer him if he does something absurd like selling the ranch for Lillard or bringing Levine in here, but signing Pat Beverly to the vet min isn't a death knell.
