Seems very low compared to what everyone was expecting him to get, right?

Extremely low. I saw Reaves predicted at 4-100.

whining is fun for one

but beyond that it just feels like the same **** as the last two seasons..."just wait for the best deal" is great and all and exactly what you are supposed to be doing...but then we make the deal and its "well now we have to wait till next offseason to truly build because we waited too long".

Also Pat Bev feels more like an appeal to Harden to ride it out and I don't want that lol

Silver and the NBA are kicking in the extra $44 million.

You're the exception - if you didn't whine I'd be wondering where I was.

Sixers fans have earned unfettered whining until they get out of the 2nd round. They haven’t earned the benefit of the doubt for anything. At any phase of roster construction or on the court competing.

Pelicans resign Herb to a sizable contract. Otherwise, quiet FA. Still thinking they might be secretly talking about a Harden trade. Quick access to Houston during the season. Fun nightlife. Well constructed team for his skill set.

Still think the main prize for Morey is Lillard, but still thinking the Pels are the dark horse.

Lakers are killing it.

All their players are below market value.

I’d rather watch a tanking team for a glimmer of hope.

What is the offer you are referring to?

I believe:
Powell
Mann
Covington
Fillers
2028 and 2030 first rounders

Rui got 4-72. That's a little higher than I thought he'd get.

But they're the Lakers. League office assistance goes a long way.

Unfortunately, they know that Embiid will get them a top 4 or 5 seed no matter what. Doesn't matter after that.

Damn, why don't we let this play out before burying Morey and proclaiming the Sixers DOA? Trust me, I'll be the first to hammer him if he does something absurd like selling the ranch for Lillard or bringing Levine in here, but signing Pat Beverly to the vet min isn't a death knell.

100% this.

the sneaky thing about a Dame trade is that Portland was probably the best landing spot for Biid for a good "haul"

now we are stuck with the possibility of the Knicks scraps lol

what a time

1. I meant AFTER Dame gets traded to Miami.

2. I don't think Biid is the guy OKC uses their war chest on

I don't think Embiid has the stomach to demand a trade.

I hate Patrick Beverly, but we need a backup point guard, so it makes sense. At least he will play tough defense if called upon in the playoffs.

Whining? My confidence in the 6ers front office is growing.

It seems pretty clear they are looking to make a big retool around Joel and Maxey in 2024 when (at least right now) guys like Jaylen Brown, Siakam, OG, Dejounte Murray and others are FAs.

Since the day they traded for Harden, I said 3 season run and then retool. So, I'm on board with what looks to be the plan. Let Pat and PJ convince Harden to stay, or trade him for expirings, 1 rotational young guy and a pick or 2. Either way, is aces to me.

Powell, Mann, Covington and two 1sts? That's a great return for an expiring Harden, assuming one of those 1sts is unprotected. Mann and the picks are assets for future deals as well, which the Sixers currently have practically none of.

I don't think the Clippers are offering that, though. I'm also sure that Morey is asking for Kawhi or Paul George.
