Georges Niang Appreciation Thread

Post#1 » by Embiid P » Fri Jun 30, 2023 11:47 pm

He was a good character guy who provides toughness in certain situations and is unafraid to get in opponents' faces but was all in all a liability in the postseason. Good luck in Cleveland!

I like Niang's moxie, shooting ability, and his intangibles. Glad he got paid.

Ultimately, too much of a tweener for us to make it work. Can't play him at the 4 without getting killed on the glass. Can't play him at the 3 without his footspeed becoming a problem.

I wish Niang the best. He was a good Sixer, provided some great moments and I loved his fire.

Bang Bang gave us some good times and has himself a nice deal on his new contract. Wishing him well against everyone else.

Fantastic money-value signing by Morey, he helped us to get wins in the regular season, i'm sure he will be missed.

Happy to see him with that new contract !

Loved having Niang on the team; he’s easy to root for. He had flaws, but he’s the kind of guy where if he played for the Heat, we’d be talking about how they find these contributors from their bench. He’s basically SF/PF Max Strus.
