Rockets are doing the right thing clearing out the lesser of their former first round picks. But Who the hell knows what they are bringing in

Celtics can trade for Dame and be left with these 7 players -- Dame, Tatum, Porzingis, White, Timelord, Horford, Brogdon. Bring back Grant and you have 8. Vet minimums for the rest of roster. Rockets as 3rd team.

Wtf are they talking about.

That's what a coach is for.

Hire a real **** coach for that ****.

Go sign players with talent so we can win a ring.

Denver didn't have any loud mouths on there entire team..but they played together..

We do need an enforcer or 3
After smart the most vocal on court player is Grant, after Grant, Horford maybe ??
YES we need a couple tough guys, not loud mouths

kP and Jays is the most polite big 3 in NBA history

Every big name that's supposed to get their extension has gotten their extension (announced). Sup, JB?

I'm assuming that Brad is trying to get him to take a discount. Probably something between "The max other teams can offer" and "the max Boston can offer." :dontknow:

Then the way to go would be to start floating trade rumours to put some pressure on him. That hasn't happened (at least yet).

Have people looked at Lillard’s playoff stats other than his last postseason run (of only 6 games)? I mean I know we are harsh on our guys and all, but grass isn’t always greener. I’m weary of a dude who could barely crack 40% FG (54-55% TS) and had less than a 2/1 A:TO ratio. He took 20 shots to score 24. He’s has had one good postseason, tbh, in 8 seasons.

Don't worry. He'll look amazing going against our defense in the ECF.

His postseason numbers are almost certainly skewed by how bad his teams have been. He played on teams where Noah Vonleh started 50+ games.

He's not on the Celtics though. Every player who's not on the Celtics is a stud perfect-fit clutch champion.

I'd give a nice package to Lillard if he wanted to play in Boston. But he doesn't. Let Micky Arison pay Lillard 60M when Lillard is 37.

Eh, that’s just an excuse, imo, no offense. He had LMA early in his career and then CJ to take pressure off (who is nearly as good as JB, if not better for some of his runs). He’s not as good as people think, but I’ve always felt that way. Especially at 33, meh.

But I am scared of him on the Heat, lol. Not as much on other teams like the 76ers.

I'm concerned about giving up two good players and a butt load of picks for a guy who is 6'2", 33 years old and has a massive ballooning contract for the next few years.

I like Dame and I get the 2024 or bust and stop Miami at any cost narratives, but defense isn't his calling card, and what if his athleticism declines just an iota -- will that mean that in the east he'll be hunted on that end? Yes, this is not Kemba we're talking about but we've found that the small PG has not been a good fit for the Celtics.

Glamor markets just don't exist in the NBA anymore. When the Lakers were trash they didn't sign anyone. Miami has been irrelevant outside of Butler going there and even then it's not like players were lining up to go there. NBA players team up with players, the city just doesn't matter much anymore.

They don't? Dame clearly picked Miami and Brooklyn because....I get Miami if you're trying to win but Brooklyn makes no friggin sense under that logic unless if you're trying to be seen.

And am I wrong? The Celtics biggest FA signings of all time are Horford Kemba and Hayward. Brooklyn gets whoever, Miami gets whoever and Lakers get whoever. Trade market is different but as far as FAs go its a different world.

Celtics have signed Kemba, Hayward, Horford, and KP specially asked to come here, along with Kyrie wanting to come here.

Literally what free agents have LA/Miami signed that compare the past 5/6 years?

Lebron to LA and Butler to Miami? We've pulled more big time players in the FA market.

Hell we even have an apples to apples comparison. Hayward was recruited by us and Miami and chose us...why? Because of Brad....proving my point that personal relationships are more important today than location, and we still had a hobbled IT on the roster at the time.

Are you really trying to make a case that we've pulled bigger FA's than LeBron or Butler?

Anyways...the truth is unless the Celtics move they won't have a shot at the Butlers and LeBrons of the world because of a number of things that other markets have. Also the reputation of the city is dirt in the league. I hate Kyrie and LeBron but they probably speak for a lot of the players about the city.
