Can Lonnie, Tristan and Bamba share the last spot?

Who you bring for the last roster spot ?
Trade maybe Christie for big ? Or sign for vet min?
I think AD need some help in the C position

AD is not playing PF ,got to get over it......... he's the 3rd best C in the NBA behind Joker and Embiid and nothing wrong with that.

Bamba or Tristan? I’d be fine with either but would be happy to see a trade for a C and a PG, before the deadline. Trading D Lo, JHS, Hodge should bring some return.

Facts. Outside of 1 week a couple years ago where he traded for Westbrook and let Caruso walk.. he’s been really good since taking over from Magic. I just don’t get what happened to him during that week.

Except that one player who only plays offense. Sigh. Why?
So they could trade him
Every team that traded him got better, the 3rd team actually won the championship.
I’m not sure though if they can find any takers unless that team has a player who’s been very difficult and desperately needing a change of scenery.

Thank you.
He's weird, because he's shown ability to switch and defend all over, he's pretty high energy, and he's even flashed shooting ability. But he doesn't put it all together often, and he'll just be a complete bonehead for long stretches.
If he gets paid, it'll be purely on potential, but I wouldn't be shocked at all if he goes somewhere and plays much better on his second contract. It was just hard finding minutes for him with a pretty crowded front court when Zion was healthy, and even when he wasn't, you have solid, savvy vets like Jonas V, LArry Nance, and even Willy Hernangomez to try and beat out.
I asked the Pelicans board about Hayes earlier this off-season and that was what they said.
Seems like our typical buy low player with upside still.
It’s always been an opportunity thing missing for Hayes and I think he finally has one now.
The only things you can count on 100% is that he’s switchy, and he runs the floor like a deer.
He actually is probably a better fit guarding the 4 and letting AD be full on rim protector. If his shot comes together at all, he’s a great reclamation project.
That said, he’s way more miss than hit. He did seem to be a lil better as a starter with consistent minutes. We weren’t going to give him 8 mill or whatever, but he’s super young and worth a look at the min.
I think he’s the kind of youth the Lakers need and the kind that gave them a lot of juice after the WB trade too.
I don’t think he ends up anything more than a rotation piece as a 4/5. But I’d take him 20/10 over Cam Reddish

He's still just turning the age we drafted AR and AR had his bumps at that age. I'm not in love with the signing but I think it's low risk/high reward.

Re: Lakers offseason 2023
My last roster spots:
1. either Dwight or Robin Lopez (woods is a distant third because I think we need a veteran who will hammer some folks, play D, and rebound)
2. Jay Huff on a 2-way is indeed a good call with his D, 3, and youthful but NBA ready strength and size.

Definitely. I would have loved to have him back at that price tag. I think LeBron and AD will be good for him.

Re: Lakers offseason 2023
Let's just throw some change at Dwight Howard. How vital did that turn out? It always happens at that critical time of the season, when looking around at teams full of guards and forwards, SIZE always pops up. Then what happens? We gotta throw in the Dwight's and Tristan Thompson's. Sure, off season doesn't look like much, but we've been down this road many times as a franchise, you better be ready to look down at the end of the bench and have those tools ready

Re: Lakers offseason 2023
Dwight? Did anyone see him two years ago with us? By halfway through the season he was cooked and could barely move.
We’ll find a C at the vet minimum. One of these guys will slip through the cracks: Wood, Plumlee, Bismack, Bamba, R Lopez. Then there’s also Tristan Thompson.

Re: Lakers offseason 2023
The point is not Dwight. The point is it's always sunny off season. During the season. And then playoffs roll around, WTF WE PLAYIN DWIGHT?!? This past season was, SAY WHAT?!? We pulling Tristan Thompson off the bench?!? And it's always at key critical junctures during the playoffs. People sayin now, Jason Hayes, useless. (And I agree in the moment) And then playoff time rolls around....

Plumlee is prob a pipe dream for the min, but he would be sick for us
Warspite:
Prince + filler for Kobe Bryant
To be honest the way Prince has played and with Kobes injury/age/mileage Im not sure I would do that deal either. Still Prince is more important and he wins the head to head battles with Kobe.

Re: Lakers offseason 2023
We need more size up front, agreed. BroLo used to take up a lot of space down low, so did Dwight, so did Pau, and so does AD. Shaq, lol.
However, If we’re correct in betting on that Hayes manifests his talent with some real minutes, tutored by AD, we might have a young rim runner who is quick and tall enough to make it difficult for Victor for the next few years.

Re: Lakers offseason 2023
Say Portland holds out for a better offer than hero and some firsts. Can rob promise them a mid season deal of dlo, rui, Vincent, and 2029-2030 firsts, plus like 6 srp for dame (por can reroute dlo, to maybe say Philly for picks). Just really go all in for lbjs final year.
Actually same logic could apply in harden trade too albeit giving up fewer assets than above
