My issue is more with the haul. Obi was was worth more than 2 2nd rounders. I’d say 1st round but outside of the lottery.

Obi is worth exactly 2 2nd round picks since this is his last year of his rookie contract. He's not that good. Thibs could have tried to maximize Obi better, but in the end he's an energy backup PF in this league. His production is easily replaceable.

its likely the best we couldve gotten for him. i doubt anyone was really interested in him after seeing how unplayable he was against the heat. he looked like he didnt belong lol

I mean he’s definitely not going to be a super star, probably not a star, but I definitely think he’s a solid role-player/contributor given time, and sadly in today’s NBA getting that out of a lottery pick outside the top 2-3 is acceptable. I still think we undersold but who knows, maybe you’re right.
