Dame gets his wishes and gets traded to his preferred destination - Miami Heat.
Harden gets traded to Clips for fillers and picks.
Tobi gets traded to Suns for fillers and picks
Sixers trades Embiid for ton of picks and rebuilds around Maxey.
To be fair, I think running it back might actually work provided Tobi gets traded for a couple of 3&D guys.
I hated the Tobi signing when it first happened, and have advocated for a trade every year since then. But at this point, in the last year of his contract, there's no longer any reason to trade him (unless it's as part of a deal for a real star). He's a pretty good player who got paid as if he were a great one. Next summer if he can be re-signed for Harrison Barnes kind of money, maybe a little more, he'd be very desirable to have.
Also, what team is going to give up two decent 3 & D players for Tobias Harris, who himself is a better version of a 3 & D guy? Find the players you think would fit that description and make a proposal for how it could work. If it could-- if he could bring back two solid guys in that mold, good 3P shooters who play good defense-- I'd be interested. But those guys don't grow on trees.
Unless you mean 3&D players who really can't score unless it's a bunny, dunk, or an open 3-- think Tucker and Thybulle-- would you want two of them in exchange for Tobi? Cause I sure don't.
If Harden wants out and won't play, move him to Chicago for DeRozan and a pick or two. DeRozan is an expiring who is a shot creator and can run an offense, and it's only a one year deal.
But really, just running it back would be ideal. Get a shooter (Curry?), resign McDaniels, maybe add a couple more pieces, and away we go. Worst case scenario is we're sellers at the deadline and in great shape in summer 2024.
