Not bad as a totally different kind of player (apart from Davion).

Possible yes although not hard to match with what we have left.

But not really much point now because the spots are pretty filled to take on a starter caliber player or big minutes bench guy.

You absolutely don’t want to create a situation that messes with our great locker room chemistry. And a lack of minutes for guys who consider themselves to be starters would do just that.

Now if they do sign one of them? Im expecting a bigger trade to immediately follow for a star and to consolidate the talent.

Meh… I don’t think an upgrade from Holmes to Vezenkov and changing Davis for Duarte is enough for not trying to get another starter caliber player if possible. If a trade of Barnes and/or Lyles is a consequence, I’m ready to assume it.

It’s true the new contracts are good, but in my opinion the upgrade of the roster has been far from enough for the next step.

A bit more than I was hoping we'd pay him.

Hopefully year 3 is partial or a team option.

Actually it’s very reasonable and exactly where I was hoping we would be with him.

6.67/per average and likely looks like 6.25/6.75/7.25 over the life. Very reasonable and totally moveable as well. And reasonable increase rate on the back end of you want to keep him.

I get that you have to give him incentive to come over. But I'm not convinced he is worth much without proving it on an NBA court.

That's similar pay as the 5th pick in the draft.

No thanks

He doesn't seem to fit the Monte McNair mold. But he could be cheap. Only problem is he is a RFA.

What in the holy hell is going on over in Portland? You give Grant a ridiculous contract and then Dame asks out? The Blazers had to know Dame wanted out.

Grant and Middleton contracts are going to make resigning Sabonis tough . Kings can only offer 4 years at 120. If Sabonis walks then Fox could be next to leave.

There was a rumor Dame asked out before they signed that contract.

Does it even matter though?

But remember all those years where we dealt with insults and people didn't care about some of the details of player movement/trades/FA?

We should see if we can benefit from this somehow though.

Fox/Mitchell/?
Huerter/Monk/Duarte/Jones(R)
Barnes/Edwards
Keegan/Lyles/Vezenkov/Slawson(R)
Sabonis/?

Am I missing anyone who is confirmed under contract? Included the rooks knowing there is a chance they transition to two-way.

Biggest roster need is back up Center, wing depth, and end of the bench pg depth.

Plumlee is the best fit out there.

Dozier still technically under contract. July 10th he becomes fully guaranteed.

Don't mind Len coming back. Seems like a great locker room guy and he played decently when given the chance. Need to have big bodies to go up against Joker too.

The security of Sabonis extended is better than spending it on some role player

The core of Fox/Keegan/Sabonis will likely be together for at least 5 years if all goes well. That's going to go a long way for their development together. Really excited to see Keegan take a leap this year.

Kings have two All-NBA guys locked up for the next 4-5 years. Times sure have changed around here.

From Woj's story

Sabonis, 27, isn't taking the full money available to him. He discussed with the Kings' leadership his desire to prioritize the franchise's roster building flexibility over fully maximizing his earnings, team officials told ESPN.

Great news. Monte smashed FA out of the park.
The only miss might have been Hart, but couldn't see the Kings prying him away from the Knicks.
I'm still not convinced he is finished in terms of making a big move either.
