It's certainly an interesting contract for Grant and I don't fully understand why Portland did it. I don't expect Grant to be a Blazer for the duration of the contract.

Reminds me of when AL was negotiating to return to the Hawks in Summer 2016. News broke of the Kent Bazemore deal and AL immediately signed with another team.

Lakers end up with Jaxson Hayes, Taurean Prince and Reddish on their roster for 2024 season. All three either were drafted by or played for Atlanta.

So someone help me see this
As aomeone who frequents the trades/transactions board, why does Dame have all this value?
I get he is a great offensive player but he is below average defensively, is about to be 33, and is on a massive contract.

Yes, the age/contract point is a bit negative, but on his impact, POR was nearly the same on defense with or without him, but not the same at all on offense where his impact is huge.
Balancing individual production/defense and On/Off court this last season, Dame is behind Jokic, Giannis, Durant, but in the next pack with Embiid, Doncic and Butler.
