We’re at 12 roster spots now; just keep grant, sign Walsh and javonte and we’re done

Won't bash this outcome but will be somewhat disappointed. Knowing that Garuba was available and not finding a route to get him is going to pain me a bit. I also worry this may lead to trading picks to clear space in the next couple of years.

Bring up Davison to replace Champagnie and I’m down.

Davison on Hauser deal would be ideal.

His shooting is about the same for their careers and Thybulle with good shooting in PDX last year and decent the last full season he had in Philly. Let Walsh learn how to defend from him and how to shoot from Hauser.

Yeah, I can see that. Also factor in their age. Thybulle at age 26 is literally entering his prime right now. 26, entering his prime and already made 2 all-NBA defense teams. If we get him on a cheap deal, I don't think any logical fan could hate on that.

Meanwhile, Craig is 32. Turns 33 later this year. So is more likely to start declining in ability soon, more likely to get hurt with the added wear and tear on his body from 6 more years playing pro ball..

Thybulle every day. Except Sundays, when we need a shooter. Then Craig

I'm not really that big on Thybulle, but a lot of people here wanted to draft him. If he had developed his shot, he'd be getting a nice contract. But, looks like he's not going to turn into that guy. The guy he is, is an elite defender. One of the best at his position so could still turn into a Tony Allen type if he can improve his set shot on the 3 ball.

From what is available, Thybulle is a good pickup is the money is right.

Fixed. 8-)

I haven't looked into if this is realistic, but all things being equal, I'd take Thybulle over Javonte if the numbers work.

About Walsh and Thybulle off the bench: that Robinson-Strus-Vincent **** that happened in the playoffs would be history. The Celtics basically let those guys go off with little resistance (partially the Jays worn out, partially Marcus not a great defender of fast guards and primarily Joe being sonned by Spo).

This team needs a couple of **** lawmakers out on the perimeter this year. If Miami has a healthy Herro or gets Dame, it will be more of then same, so the defense needs to improve substantially.

This off-season sucks. Weird that it feels bad after we got Porzingis, but the roster somehow feels less balanced now. Really nervous about Brogdon’s health with more minutes, really worried about frontcourt reliability if Grant’s gone.

How are we getting thybulle lol ? He’s a restricted free agent and we can’t make him an offer sheet; we also can’t get him in a sign and trade because of the hard cap issue with getting a signed and traded player

Posturing for what? Heat’s best offer is poop. Even if they push harder, all that will come out is more poop.

Anyway, don’t care where Dame lands. But we needed the drama. This FA period was really off to a boring start. And it’s already about over except for these silly demands and star trades.

Just re-sign Grant. Hard to trade for role guys. FA is slim pickings at this point.
