Mo Wagner just signed a 2-year $16M deal with Orlando....
Glad to see both guys still in the league building their investment portfolios!

Sabonis signing the extension makes me feel better about bringing Kuzma back because that ‘24 FA class is looking pretty bad.
Bickerstaff: who's up for kickball?!!
Ed Wood: Only if it's the no-pants variety.

Love the statement put out by the Blazers regarding Dame’s trade request, it is exactly what should have happened with the Wizards had they not been so pathetically and unnecessarily desperate with Beal and his contract.

Dame doesn't have a NTC.
He is also, much, much better than Beal. Portland can wait for a bidding war because one is sure to develop.

Might as well say that they f##d themselves up. Got Tommy fired & forced Ted to agree -- finally! -- to a total rebuild.
In that sense, it specifically did NOT f##k *us* up -- or at least say it's hard to imagine a better result coming from the idiotic error of Beal's contract.

Houston just gave Jeff Green a 1-year $6m contract. More than he's made in a long time!
Trade Martin, Garuba & Washington, then sign a 36-year old guy coming off of an unsurprisingly awful season.
Wow!

Wow!
It's almost like someone secretly paid them to intentionally screw with Denver's depth.

It’s why DEN loaded up on draft capital to fill out the roster cheaply.

Yes, Portland didn't get punked, here is the statement:
“We have been clear that we want Dame here but he notified us today he wants out and he’d prefer to play someplace else. What has not changed for us is that we’re committed to winning, and we are going to do what’s best for the team in pursuit of that goal.”
Portland held the line, they didn't panic and wildly over-pay for an FA, they didn't trade Scoot for vet and picks, and they are now not going to surrender their balls when negotiating Dame's trade. Brad never should have been Super Maxed and should never have been given an NTC, in the end Brad got everything he wanted, and the Wizards got sh*t.
It's a new day and new FO group here, cheers to that

Dallas doing it's best to try and put a winner together.
And
LA doing the same.
What teams in the NBA did the best job of scraping the barrel?

We should try to get Garuba. He would be a great defensive small ball center to add to our rotation. Come on FO!

Re: Discussing Other Teams' Moves - Part 8
There's been mention here of trying to acquire Paul Reed. By Nat I think, & by others (me included).
Utah gave him a 3 year/$23m offer sheet -- Philly just matched it, so he's off the market I guess.

Re: Discussing Other Teams' Moves - Part 8
Colin Castleton looks like one of the biggest steals in the draft, just stuffs the box score. Another huge game last night. 13-7-6 the other day, 21-14-3 last night. Hodge also looks really good. Lakers are getting pretty good at this UDFA thing.
