Thats basically bs. Let's think about this. Trading Dame where the team gets what they wants will magically hurt them 5 years down the road? They are not a FA hot spot, so thats not going to change. They will need to over pay to get players which is no different than it is now. The idea that player X 5 years down the road will care more about them not trading Dame to his preferred spot over more money is just comical and posturing unfortunately for us.

Bruh Dame requested specifically Miami and instead of being hype about it some of you all are going to war for these other teams almost like you’re praying Lillard doesn’t end up here.

Cut out that lame ass shtick you’re trying to pull off and put your fuxking homer goggles on NOW!!!!

PAT RILEY ALWAYS GET HIS WHALE!!!!

Nurkic and Herro on the surface look to be possibilities for SA. Nurkic looks to be a good fit with the Spurs helping bring Wemby along and doing the dirty work down low. Pop likes these big Centers. Very similar to what they had with Poetl. Herro still seems like the favorite to land in BK but maybe pop can sell him on the Manu role since Vassell seems like a solid player himself and deserving to keep his starting two role with contract coming up

This is about respect. Pure and simple. I’m sick of the disrespect.

Just last night, I was tucking my kid into bed and he said, “Dad, I saw grandpa on TV today.”

I asked, “son, how can that be? Grandpa’s been dead for years.”

You know what he told me? You know what that little rat bastard told me?!

Spoiler:
“I saw Pat Riley on TV. Isn’t he your daddy?”

I ain’t going down like that.

Ain’t no way in hell I’m going down like that.

At very least it’s a landing spot for Nurkic. Not sure about the Herro and Vassell dynamic with Vassell due to get paid. They could just be part of a 4 teamer that takes Nurkic on. Herro and BK just makes too much sense

Maxey is much better player than Herro. Let’s not kidding ourselves. 76ers tends to used maxey as a point guard mainly of the times when harden is on the bench. If Herro is as good as devin Booker, I am fairly certain blazers will traded dame for Tyler without making a fuss but Tyler is just not there yet and has not proven that he can hold his own. If you watched maxey playing while harden wasn’t playing and maxey has proven that he can be much more productive player, a borderline star at that when gives completely freedom on good efficiency basis.

Maxey stays overrated. He can’t create at all when he’s not playing off a defense tilted towards Embiid. Great shooter tho and very fast. PG size with SG skillset. Negative on defense. Redundant with Portland’s young core

exactly, maxes stays overrated.

If you play for the celtics or sixers or lakers, you get all the praise

if you play for miami, you're a fluke and scrub

That’s not true. Some of former role players for the Miami Heat were the product of the Miami Heat system to fit a certain role just like how Spurs does it to makes their role players looks good and it’s difficult to put a stock value in that. For example patty mills was great in spurs but horrible on Nets.

Butler and Bam are the only players that aren’t the product of the system because they can work outside of the system and gives the same consistency. Teams known that these players will be as good as they were playing in miami or better. We certainly can’t say the same for Duncan Robinson, Tyler Herro, Max Strus, and Gabe Vincent and etc. if you follow some former Heat players, most of them fallen off the shelf and fade into oblivion. I bet teams suspects Miami Heat were milking Tyler herro stock values by letting him jack up unnecessarily shots to makes him looks like a star. Do you noticed coach spo don’t take tyler herro out if he took bad shots but somehow if Lowry or Strus or Kevin love took bad shots, he will substitutes them faster than you blink.

that nonsense. Systems don't make people hit their shots.

Sometimes a player fits better into one system than another, yes, but they are still good players.

I think with Herro its bad fortune that hurts his stock as much as anything else. Its possible Miami doesn't go on the run they do this postseason without Herro going down, but say they do and he is a major contributor, all of a sudden he's viewed as a blue chip. Instead, he's getting painted as a net negative because of the assumption that Miami only went on their run because of his absence, which there may be some truth to, but is still unfair to him.

all I need to know, is that Pat didnt lowball, and he negotiated in good faith and gave our best offer. If portland still doesnt give us dame, its not our fault, and **** the blazers.

Pretty much this. I’d rather give Portland our best non-Bam/Jimmy offer in exchange for them getting Dame to us in good faith than try to fleece them by forcing them to eat a poo poo platter of Duncan/Herro and 2 picks.

Hopefully they’ve got a good third team lined up that likes Herro enough to give a few picks to Portland.
