Good job by Jazz media producing some content with the rookies. Here's sit downs with them:

The Jazz have no playmakers on their team......

George looks intriguing..... Great quickness, can make tough shots...... Got a shot blocked insanely by Holmgren......

I like that he went at him, at least. Got blocked 3 times on strong attempts. Looked a lot better in the second half as he got settled, and threw a few nice passes. Ochai looked good, too, and I liked Taevion Kinsey's energy. Other players had some moments but the shooting was just so bad.

George looked good in the second half.

Ochai looked solid- but was asked to do too much I think.

Porter looked good until the end.

I liked Kinsey's hustle and effort- which always sounds like a fake, placating response, but for a summer league game that's okay.

Didn't realize we had a Luka playing for us during summer league. AingeBurner might he right- we might have a Luka on this team next year afterall.

I prefer Luka squared.

George really isn't that quick and lacks that elite first step burst.

With that said he makes shots and competes on both ends. He made a super nice pass in transition to Luka.

George got past the first defender quite a bit. I think he has a good first step. He has to figure out what decisions to make when the help gets there, though.

The bounce pass from Keyonte George was an unexpected pass. That was elite. I look forward to seeing more of his skills as we continue. Could he develop into our PG? A lot to determine off one pass lol, but the skills are there

Everytime they show shots of Will Hardy I think it's Matt Harpring for a second. Just me?

George and Samanic looked pretty good. Samanic looked good mostly because his shot was falling but either way he was solid. George's play makes me see why the Jazz think he could be a PG. He's not going to be a pure PG but I can see how he can grow into that position.

Agbaji is not having the best summer league. He shows he's having trouble to create offense for himself, and also had 10 fouls I think. He better put a lot of work into his shot because that's going to be his ticket for playing in the NBA, as a 3 and D player.

The real decision the Jazz FO is making is between Continuity, Cap Flexibility, and Cash Considerations.

Agbaji struggling despite already being 23 seems like a pretty strong sign that he's not going to be a major part of this future. Maybe he'll be a 7th man.

I think he could be a quality 3D guy. I don't really expect him to be a shot creator. But a guy who can play good defense and hit the open shots at a high level is a valuable piece. Not expecting stardom from him, but I don't see why he can't continue to improve defensively and improve his shot.

A summary of my thoughts on the SL Summer League:

I’m encouraged by Keyonte George’s play. He just might be able to be a floor general who can score. He had major lapses on defense, though, and will have to get stronger and smarter, and maybe develop a floater, to score at the rim. I doubt he is 6’4”.

Ochai looked great at times and completely horrible at other times.

Samanic has great court vision and passing ability. He needs to be more consistent with his outside shooting. He is incredibky bad for someone his size when trying to score at the rim.

I’m not thrilled with our two way players. Like, who chose them?

Sensabaugh better be as advertised by the Jazz brass as the fan draft darling GG Jackson looked good, especially as someone who is 18 and drafted #45. He could be a draft steal.

Keyonte George with 33 pts on 24 fga, 50/40 shooting and 10 assists/2 tovs playing against the Clips. 17 pts in Q4! I only saw the second half, but he got seven of his ten assists the first half, getting his teammates involved. Then he just took over the scoring himself in Q4. Pretty impressive game!

He did have a nice game and should have had several more assists if his teammates had just hit their open shots. He had a couple of nice dunks too.

I would be interested if defensive stats are tracked in summer league games as he ball watches and gets back door cut a lot, is often out of position, and is generally a traffic cone against anyone driving to the rim.
