Ya I think we should trade Siakam for younger pieces which should include a PG.

For that reason, I think Masai will make a hard press for Lillard and if he comes up short, will pivot to the youth movement.

Even though I believe the loss of Fred is being made to be bigger by the mainstream media than it should be, it might be a blessing to force Masai to stop being so complacent.

Well that's the thing, how do you pivot to youth movement after already dealing your best young players & picks for Dame... It sets you back so many years.

I'm saying pick 1 or the other. If we go after Dame then the youth movement is out the window.

Gotcha... If I'm Masai, I deal Siakam for young pieces because Dame is 33 and as good as he is, he hasn't proven he's capable to be a player who can lead a team to a deep playoff run, let alone a championship.

Ya it's true... maybe part of me just wants to be relevant and I'd be ok if we're only trading OG, Trent and stuff for him. Lillard/Siakam/Barnes would be a really fun trio while still having a semi decent supporting cast.

I'd maybe be more open to it, if we didn't have to include Scottie, Dick & picks... But then I start to think if you move OG who's going to guard the other team's best player... I just feel any way you slice it, it probably wouldn't result in a championship, and then 2-3 years from now we'll be pretty pissed that we were shortsighted.

Dame should just ride it out. Unless he magically gets to the heat without them giving up more the herro, I feel he'll just be in a worst spot.

He refused to trade Barnes for KD, but he'll do it for Dame. Makes sense.

F*** him!
He’s under contract without a NTC. I hope they send him to Detroit.

Barnes just came off a sophomore year where he took a step back if anything so his value clearly isn't the same as it was coming off his rookie year.

Feels like more of a "who has assets they can give up that won't gut the current team and still be good enough to compete with Dame" kind of guess, as opposed to reporting or something. The Raps are certainly near the top of that list.
9. Similarly, IF THOU HAST SPENT the entire offseason predicting that thy team will stink, thou shalt not gloat, nor even be happy, shouldst thou turn out to be correct. Realistic analysis is fine, but be a fan first, a smug smarty-pants second.

Everything that has played out has gone EXACTLY as many of us have been saying for weeks. POR had no intention of trading that pick.

And he ends up in Miami.

Yep lol.

Now they're painting Dame as the villain. It's a cold business, and people wonder why players aren't loyal to franchises anymore.

Raptor fans should stop daydreaming about Dame coming here. We are not the Heat or Philly that has those mega stars Dame wants to play with.

Man, this Dame/Portland soap opera is so cringy. How is this real? Are these people not capable of feeling embarrassment?
