I’m excited for summer league tonight. I think we’ve got to be patient on the Dame stuff. Three team trades have a lot of moving parts, I think it’ll work out in the end though.

Reading the discourse from the Celtics fans and north east media types is hilarious though. They are simultaneously terrified of the Heat getting Dame, while also peddling the propaganda that we won’t get him because our package is “****”, while also saying how unfair it is that we ultimately will end up getting him and how it’s bad for the league. :lol:

The fact that Dame explicitly came out and said he has no interest in going to Boston makes this even more hilarious.

****’em all, I’m ready for us to be hated all over the league again.

That is in any contractual situation. Employees can talk to each other but management can’t speak to contracted employee from another company.

Lillard will be a Heat player eventually. If he’s being very adamant about the Heat now and putting the Blazers in a tight spot, I don’t see him caring much about the Celtics or any other team that may try to trade for him. He owes them less than nothing.

He is behaving like someone that has been ignored many times with regards to team building. This entire process has had their GM making public statements to shape the narrative. Lillard finally had enough. Even then the GM is saying they will field all offers and not cooperate with Lillard. Do people expect Lillard to just take it again? I think he already passed the point of no return. It’s Heat or bust. If you trade for me it will still be Heat or bust so buyer beware.

Raptors fans are still salty about Alonzo getting a buyout so he could return to Miami. Yet it was always know that is what he wanted. They traded for him and thought he would still play. He didn’t. Can’t force an old rich player to play for you.

That's the point. The point for these teams is to keep these impact guys beyond their first big rookie extension.

But this posturing from the POR FO is all just a front in public to leverage Miami into giving the best deal they can. Dame's ending up in Miami so they'll milk whatever they can before doing it.
