Tell Dame we have to send Caleb out in the trade. We'll find replacements. We're the Heat.

Caleb should easily get us a couple more picks. He is on a great contract.

My money's on the Blazers being this petty. Just look at this Cronin jerk, he's got petty written all over him.

So Cronin is fielding offers from teams that Dame does not want to go to.

Wow. This is what loyalty gets ya.

These magical "all-in" offers from other teams don't exist. And they never will. Just be patient.

Lol Before all this I would have thought the same, but I don’t think it makes sense for either side anymore. For us, I truly believed Spo could have turned him into an all star, or at the very least all
star contender. He’s done everything the Org has asked him to to improve his game thus far, and I think he would have just continued under proper tutelage.

But now…idk. The relationship has soured too much.

This is why I was so adamant on getting this done the day Dame asked out. Overwhelm them with a great offer before they have time to act stupid, or some other team interferes.

I feel like Portland has trenched in, because other teams are getting in their ear.

Eventually, they will say "Who cares what he wants, he will be a good soldier. We'll offer you more than Miami"

Sucks for us.

We all wanted it to be over quickly, but that clearly was never going to happen regardless of what Miami offered. Good news is, no other team is making an "all-in" offer for a 33 year old disgruntled player still due over $200 million.

You make this sound like Miami can just force POR to do it. You guys need to be patient. July 6th is when deals and trades that have been agreed to can be processed. There's no way of knowing when this can be done but it's only been two days since the request was made. People need to relax and stop getting in their own head about what will or won't happen.

Did none of you learn from the week and a half that most of you were convincing yourselves that Dame wasn't asking out?

You guys need to slow down with the posting. I predicted that we would have Dame by page 75 we are already half way there without a resolution in sight.

I wouldn't doubt it. I wish we knew what happened with Grant, that would help put the pieces of this puzzle in place. If they signed him to make Dame happy then yeah it was an FU move by Dame to get his friend paid and they would want Grant off the team also since they are rebuilding. Who knows what happened. Maybe they honestly want to keep him, who knows.

Boston might. There's a couple teams that will do it, I think. They will talk themselves into it and tell themselves that Dame will show up and play and get over it.

Windhorst works for ESPN, hence he hates the Heat. Of course he's going to push the narrative of Dame to Philly.

I’ll never forget Windhorst being pushed as a Heat insider during the LeBron years when he was strictly a mouthpiece for LeBron, any negative stories during that time like the players supposedly asking for Spo to be fired always came from Windhorst. I genuinely think he still resents Miami for getting LeBron because he was a Cleveland guy.

Honestly i feel like theres a stronger possibility Herro remains a Miami Heat than the trade for Dame happening. I want dame bad, And i dont want Herro on the team but the facts remain that many teams have much more to offer than we do.

Hell Utah has a **** load of draft picks and probably the contracts to get Dame to team up with Lauri if that jackass Ainge wants to do it. And Ainge has done trades before as a celtic GM without players consent. He dont give a ****

This needs to be heard in full context. In his recent pod he also said Philly has made it very clear that Maxey isn't available.

For those saying he's a Heat hater, I promise he's not. In his pod, which is pretty good basketball talk, he doesn't talk about the Heat like let's say Bill or KOC. This is coming from someone who also used to dislike Windy in the Big 3 days.

By the way, do these idiots in portland FO not realize Scoot and their young guys are looking at this?

Lol at talking to them about loyalty to the franchise, promises, etc. Dame is gonna tell everything and bury them in the PR department, and no player will trust them for like 10 years.

Good luck keeping Scoot when he has the chance to leave. He knows what loyalty in POR looks like.

Exactly this is still not a sure thing that some wanted it to be. Still, fingers crossed we can get it done somehow.
