That's what gets me though. Dame can bitch and moan about Portland not using their assets around him but when it comes to getting traded to a team he's expecting to go to a fully loaded team for nothing. If I'm Portland I'm telling Miami that I want literally everything they have.

If I'm Portland I'm saying Herro, Martin, Jovic, JJJ, you find a way to not make us take on Duncan Robinson's deal and every single first and pick swap you have available. I think they just need to thread the needle between honoring his request and doing him dirty.

There's no threading the needle here, really. The only leverage Dame has is to tell other teams that he won't report and hope that they won't call his bluff.

Frankly, I doubt Dame will put up a huge fuss if he's traded to Brooklyn for their haul of picks.

Dame clearly has a preference but I think the only teams that Dame would have a real issue with going to are teams that the lack of interest is probably mutual, ie Detroit or Houston or Indiana. A year ago everyone was saying Donovan Mitchell's preference was the Knicks but the Cavs offered the best deal and that they weren't his preferred destination was a non-issue. Forget Brooklyn, if Boston traded him for Jaylen Brown or the Bucks somehow pulled off a package to get him, I'm 99.9999999999% certain that he preferred Miami would be a non-issue.
