And of course they're putting pressure on Andy to find a taker for Ben for a few days, why wouldn't they?

And Ben here makes no sense in terms of Jimmy, fit and most importantly of all, salary. He'd make us a 2nd apron team. It's not happening. Dame 46M and Ben 38M for 84M... I can see us taking nurkic (doubt it). But Simmons? No way.

What I dont understand is why Portland won't take him. They are trying to send out nurkic (3 years at 17-18M) and Dame (46M) and are only paying Jerami 30M Scoot 10M and Simons 27M. Why not take Ben? You need him to satisfy the cap 90% anyway. Try to salvage him and move him in a trade next year as an expiring for a trade exception or 2nd round picks. Ben will be much easier to move next year than this year. But I guess no one wants to touch him... sad.

Listening to the Mismatch and it's just ridiculous about the trade, KOC saying the Portland fans should be angry with the Miami offer they mention which is Herro, one of the Js, multiple 1st rounders. It's interesting when it's other teams these Celtics fan/reporters talk about it's more levelheaded, when it's Miami they get somewhat emotional and bring in arguments they don't use against other teams... the fans should be angry, not sure I've heard him ever say that before about a trade.

It's quite eye opening to see how much bias there is against Miami that I had no idea of before following this team for the last 4 years but then again it may be mostly the Boston Media Mafia which is a good amount of the people I listen to and their everything is different when Boston wants the trade.

One you can’t be surprised with Portland looking to see what other offers look like. Two Dame kind of did this himself, yes it helps that he demanded just Miami. But he did sign an extension a couple years ago.

People keep pooping on Herro in Portland, but I would take him over Anfernee Simons. 6'5 over 6'3, same age (Simons a smidge older), similar size contracts and people keep mentioning Herros bad D but he was -0.8 DPBM and Simons was -2.5 last year. Their numbers otherwise super similar. Scoot with Herro give better size - move on from Simons and get picks from him. Put Shaedon at SF, he's 6'6 200 pounds.
