Size wise, his 8' 2 1/2" standing reach makes him bigger than Grayson, but still too small for switching. He's a scorer and does it efficiently, but isn't a passer.
The biggest thing is his team has never been better with him on the floor, not even the year he scored 24 ppg. Will that change with experience? He's the most confusing player in the league.
Well the one thing besides the pretty efficient scoring, solid 3 ball, and good isolation ability (useful in playoffs) is that I think he’s talented enough ball handler to be a lead ball handler. That has been a massive weakness on this team for years. I think you can start Sexton next to Jrue but stagger them somewhat as well. Sexton can be the lead ball handler late - he’s a better iso player than Jrue and it will allow Jrue to rest more for defense.
But really the reason I do it, assuming we don’t have to throw a 1st in, is that it’s worth the risk to add some U25 talent if all we are giving up is a couple non top 4 guys. Sextons contract now looks like a steal compared to 72 hours ago.
