Re: Bucks News, Transactions and Trade Ideas - Beasley on a 1 Year Deal
It's your national holiday, so happy 4th of July to all.
I think RoLo and Beasley are good signings. Brook CANNOT play again 78/82 games in rs, a load management is required. If i remember correct, last year he played a lot because we needed him to play a lot, our defensive schemes need a big body almost constantly on the floor. Griffin might not play the drop as Bud, but this drop defense is very effective in rs, especially when your power forward is GA.
Rolo is unplayable in playoffs, but it doesn't matter much.
Beasley is not just an average defender, he is a terrible defender and his bbiq is questionable. He doesn't defend neither pass well the ball. However, he is exactly what we needed. We need shot creators, we need offense. Beasley is a player that NEVER afraid to shoot the ball, he is a high confident guard, we need desperately dudes like him. There will be games he might seem like Steph, there will be others we will be screaming to Griffin to take him out of the court. Being on a minimum contract, this is a fantastic signing. Another crucial point: Beasley was one of the best 3 point catch and shoot percentage players in the nba (2022-23), see this
https://www.statmuse.com/nba/ask/best-3-point-catch-and-shoot-percentage-players-in-the-nba-this-season
It's a necessity for our guards to be goos catch n shoot guys, due to point Giannis. Truth be told, he is very very underrated as a passer.
Now, as other posters here mentioned, next move regarding, all come down to this: Who are we gonna trade (IF a trade happens), Pat or Bobby? This question is hard to answer.
Yes, Connaughton is playoff proven, undeniably he is valuable. But, if we lose Bobby
and Crowder has fell of a cliff,
do you realise that Giannis will be our only reliable 4 (pf)? Who's gonna play his bench minutes in RS? We have literally noone, just a rookie i guess. So, if Horst thinks Crowder can roll next year, i am ok with a Bobby's trade.
Sexton is a good player, another shoot first guard (like Beas) with a good mindset too, he doesn't afraid the moment. He is fearless and hungry. If we get him, FINALLY, our offensive game will not just Giannis/Jrue hit the ball like drilling for oil for 1240 seconds until someone bricks a shot. But i am not so sure he worths sacrificing both Grayson and Pat or Bobby AND our 29 first. He is injured a lot for a young player. I don't know what's the right answer here. He is not a good defender too (but he hustles a lot).
We need better offense, no question. But we shouldn't lose our elit defense. In any case, Giannis should be focused more on defense next year.

Re: Bucks News, Transactions and Trade Ideas - Beasley on a 1 Year Deal
The Bucks need an individual scorer who can get a quality shot on their own when the game gets tight and/or when the half court offense inevitably turns disgusting.
Sexton presumably is the best option to get that guy. I don't understand how Delon Wright or even Norman Powell help in that regard.
Looks like Quickley may be able to but why would they move him for what we're offering?

Powell would obviously be an amazing get that, again, I'm not sure we can make happen. Maybe I'm wrong but I don't see a an iso guy and alternative ball handler.

His play the last two years is what adds doubt.

About 20 games into the season this board is going to sink in to a ton of regret over passing on a potential BroLo sign and trade.
I'm surprised it'll take you anywhere near that long.

Sign and trading him, and then building a roster built for the playoffs? Way better look.
Having $27 million spent on centers that are useless come playoff time hasn't worked in the past, and won't work now, and that doesn't even include Bobby.

Brook had a long career as a defense liability before Bud created a system that hid his weaknesses in the regular season. Brook owes millions to Bud. There's no magic scheme that makes up for Brook being the slowest player in the NBA.

I decided to follow this dude. For one of the many aggregator, “but I HAVE SOURCES”, fake accounts, this guy is really good. Most of them aren’t this sharp on small details. Could maybe be Alex Lasry. Maybe not. Could be a good poster from here, doing an excellent fake.

If this person has NBA ties it is not to the Bucks directly, I would assume an agent. They do not just have Bucks rumors and some are accurate. The rumors also seem to make some sense and I do believe they have been right on some before the national media reported them.
Sean Wright, who everyone thought may have been Alex Lasry has been dead wrong about many things, that is the account that linked the Bucks to Lou Dort.

I don't know if this guy knows anything but there seems to be enough to the Colin Sexton-to-Bucks speculation to believe the two sides are discussing it. And if that's the case, then the basic framework of Allen and Connaughton for Sexton with Utah wanting a 1st or Beauchamp and the Bucks balking at that seems like it makes a lot of intuitive sense.

That said second rounders are now 2mil per for four years (two gtd) makes them a lot more valuable these days
Quickley is an RFA after this season and due a massive contract. It’s the main reason the Knicks would move him.
Sexton is signed for three years on a reasonable deal.
