What off the court issues?

Malik Beasley spent 78 days in jail for threats of violence and felony gun charges.

Sorry, thought we were talking Sexton.
Dealing with people who exhibit the "smartest person in the room" syndrome can be a challenge. One approach is to listen their opinion while also encouraging open-mindedness. It's important to create an environment where all voices are valued.

I'd throw in our 2029 pick if Utah included one of their 2025 picks.

We already have Tacko Fall and Jabari Parker. But was told Parker had family issues and may not play summer league? Yay or nah?

I’d love to bring in Bol Bol. He has great length, a good shot, he moves better than most ultra bigs, and his name is symmetrical. In all seriousness, if AG is all that he is advertised as, Bol is a unique defensive weapon. Stotts would surely have use for his rebounding and shooting, as well.

Holding out hope for Quickley.

He just seems like a significant step up from Sexton or Rozier or the other usual suspects we’ve been talking about.

This is where the Knicks’ interest in Grant Williams strikes me.

How into Portis do we think they’d be? I was assuming not very since neither he nor Randle are shot blockers, but neither is Williams.

Though most of the league’s cap space has dried up at this point, the expectation with Williams has always been that a sign-and-trade or midlevel exception (MLE) would be the likely outcome. Atlanta, Charlotte, Dallas, New York and Washington are all still in the mix, according to league sources, with Williams eligible to sign an offer sheet on July 6.

Bol Bol is awful. He wouldn’t get minutes over Robin Lopez. Hard pass.

I have no interest in giving minutes to Robin Lopez. Get Bol Bol in here.

Bol Bol is high school Thon Maker. Not a compliment.

Yeah I don’t get how you can watch Bol’s nba output and want that player on your team. He’d need to make a fairly substantial leap on what he’s shown to be a useful nba player.

He’s not some raw prospect either. He’s had four years in the league and hasn’t shown much. He’s a victory cigar at the backend of the bench and not much more unfortunately.

Bol Bol isn't good but last year in Orlando he was was far better than Thon Maker ever was.

At this point, Robin Lopez is also horrific.

John Hammond just cut a 7'2 freak. That's all I need to know about him.

Bol is soft defensively, and his foot is made of glass. But as a 14th or 15th man, I mean, more tools than Menards. Some of you are impossible.

If I’m feeling generous, he’s a talented scorer who was miscast as a PG in an anarchic mess where Christian Wood was the veteran in the locker room. So it’s possible his development has been stunted. But so far he hasn’t shown much inclination towards winning basketball, and has had some off the court red flags at both of his stops already. (Also not sure Houston deals with us after we ruined their offseason by re-signing Lopez.)

FWIW, he's steadily improved during his three seasons when it comes to his impact metrics, and as far as the red flags that he had in Cleveland, there's been a number of stories specifically written on his personal growth since that point. I actually would say he's a player that's trending up. He has both the physical and skill talent to ultimately be a sneaky buy that could eventually put him into core piece territory. I'm not sure the perception of him, aligns with the actual progress he's made and that's something that could be exploited from a value standpoint.

Short term shot creator off the bench we've sorely lacked and a stud three point shooter off the catch. Beasley is a great get from a three point shot variance standpoint but he's not going to be putting the ball on the deck much.

If we managed to steal him, I'd be excited.
