I didn’t want to touch George, everyone else you listed I had over Jett.
Nothing to do but to root for him now.
I am afraid our SL team is SO bad outside of our picks, teams are just going to smother those 2

What does Jett have to do in summer league so this board don’t have a meltdown?

For me, he just has to look like he belongs on a team and hit his 3 pointers.

I remember thinking AG was Joe Alexander after his first summer league game. He had like 6/4/1.

I have a feeling Jett is going to look like an excellent scorer, AB is not going to look as good, and people are going to wild with Suggs/Franz references.

I can see that happening, although Suggs looked amazing and Franz looked meh in SL so I wonder how people are going to approach criticism seeing that SL in the end means very little

Suggs in the gym. Cole wasn’t mentioned but he has done the same in the past… gotta think those two are part of the core moving forward.

So they keep letting Black practice this jump shot that’s just not going to work in an actual game? I just don’t get it he doesn’t jump and it’s slow.

Who did you want us to draft at 6?

Who I would have picked at 6 is irrelevant to the fact they keep letting him practice this lazy looking shot. It just blows my mind all the videos show the same thing and it doesn’t seem to be getting worked on. He doesn’t jump, it’s slow. Seems they should be practicing actual game rhythm shots. To answer your question I wanted them to draft Jordan Hawkins at 11 and at 6 I don’t really know. The gamble on Bilal was intriguing but would have liked a SF or PF protection for Paolo or Franz.

Basically all the guards in the top of the draft have to work on their shots. We all want prospects that are great in every area but it's going to take time.

I know it’s too late and probably beating a dead horse but I believe we will regret passing up on Hawkins as IMO he was best fit for this team. Watching them train Black on his shooting isn’t giving me confidence as they seem to be all allowing bad practice. I’m not the coach so who knows maybe I’m wrong and there is some way whatever they are doing now will help, but jumping is kinda key to a jump shot. I just wanted a prospect that was great at shooting, great at being a threat without the ball in his hand.

I think in the clip, they were just running through the drill slowly to show him what they wanted him to do. He wasn't emulating game speed. Also, no, you don't have to have elevation on your jump shot to be a good shooter.

You can get away with little elevation on a shot if you have a quick release, if you have a slow release (as he does) any even average defender is going to completely eliminate you from the game.

You don't need elevation on your shot when your a 6'7 PG, as long as he is willing to take and make open shots, all is well

don't see how Black could look bad in summer league.

pushing the ball and getting fouls against bad defenders, also his basketball QI is out of scale for the competition level,so a lot of good finds and steals.

most probably they want him to master the form first before adjusting to game speed.
