Just go get 35 yr old Conley n move Jrue to SG where he belongs.

Conley can longer blow past ppl but he’s a true point guard; finished top 20 in assists.

Jrue is really crap on offense and he's worse when drained of energy, making dumb decisions. We all saw what happened with Butler. Have him stand in the corner, where I think he'll thrive with the corner 3 and most importantly, as your best defender, have him conserve his energy for the other end.

You can trade Grayson/Pat/Bobby for Conley/Jaden McDaniels

I wouldn't do it but it works financially

Jaden McDaniels would probably be super hard to get from Minny I bet. He'd be an awesome get though.

If I’m feeling generous, he’s a talented scorer who was miscast as a PG in an anarchic mess where Christian Wood was the veteran in the locker room. So it’s possible his development has been stunted. But so far he hasn’t shown much inclination towards winning basketball, and has had some off the court red flags at both of his stops already. (Also not sure Houston deals with us after we ruined their offseason by re-signing Lopez.)

FWIW, he's steadily improved during his three seasons when it comes to his impact metrics, and as far as the red flags that he had in Cleveland, there's been a number of stories specifically written on his personal growth since that point. I actually would say he's a player that's trending up. He has both the physical and skill talent to ultimately be a sneaky buy that could eventually put him into core piece territory. I'm not sure the perception of him, aligns with the actual progress he's made and that's something that could be exploited from a value standpoint.

Short term shot creator off the bench we've sorely lacked and a stud three point shooter off the catch. Beasley is a great get from a three point shot variance standpoint but he's not going to be putting the ball on the deck much.

If we managed to steal him, I'd be excited.
KPJ looks like the odd man out over there. Could be worth a look...Grayson for KPJ 1:1 works on trade machine.

Doesn't seem like that can be right. At any rate, count me among the people who wouldn't be surprised to see KPJ unlock additional levels. Big time talent.

Hammond might have had the greatest stretch of GM'ing ever if he followed through with the Steph trade.
2012 - trades for Steph.
2013 - drafts Giannis.

Albeit we might not have had the 15th pick in the 2013 draft if Steph plays the full year.

Which begs the question, if we couldn't have had both, would you rather we traded for Steph or drafted Giannis?

Still feel responsible for bringing up his medicals in the trade thread lol. I did say though that despite his medicals I would still trade for him.

When injuries piled up for Orlando and Bol Bol was getting consistent minutes he was showing progress. His outside shot when it’s falling is unblockable. His help D at the rim is pretty awesome too. He is such a unicorn but I think it’s going to take the right coach to figure out where the square peg fits and define a roll that he can grow into and give him the minutes he needs to develop. Spurs should grab him to be Wemby’s back up.

I think it still works if you do Grayson/Bobby for Conley

Grayson did better these playoffs but I don't trust him. Obviously It would be hard to see Bobby or Pat leave; tough decision but I think If I had to pick, I'd keep Pat over Bobby.

If we deal Bobby, what's the plan at backup center? Giannis going to actually play center? If not, who are we going to sign? Don't to say Robin is going to play, he's beyond terrible at this point.

Yeah if we make that trade it would have changed everything, and it's very unlikely we would have been in the same position for the next draft and have taken Giannis. That's how I've rationalised it anyway. If we would have been Charlotte over the last 8-10 years, I'm sure it would still eat away at me.

I think if we trade for Steph he bolts for NYK ASAP.
