We need a backup center! Preferably someone bigger than Gafford!

I feel like Denver never gave him a chance and in Orlandohe has shown some flashes of a useful player. I think it is a clear case of low risk high reward. And as you said, you can't teach 7'2".

Muscala is perfect for the 25-win or less tank. Also, picking up the journeyman son of a not-so-great Bullet is So Wizards.

Bol Bol just got waived, his closest comp is Maker Maker insofar as both are tall and have redundant names.

Just watch Bol Bol's highlights , he's not a stiff or untalented . Orlando locked into Carter,Banchero, wagner as their 3 frontcourt players from the start and stuck to it. They're ok but at best they'll still be a .500 team. They have no shot blockers on the team and lack a rim runner.
Bol Bol is unique and can score easily and block with the best of them ,what he can't do is keep the big boys from bullying in the paint. Bol is going to be in that Porzingis,Holmgren ,Pokuzevski,Wembanyama category of slim talented tall players.
I think he'd be in the right place with the Wiz,Spurs ,Dallas ,Lakers or Portland .

As a huge Bol fan that had him in the top 10 of the draft, I can tell you the biggest issue is his IQ.
The guy is a walking turnover that sells out his position to ATTEMPT to block shots. He also seems to have a real entitlement/attitude problem when he gets called out for low IQ/Selfish play.

He is a negative on the court right now by a decent margin. I would sign him as he will either lose us games or breakout. Its a win-win for us.

He's not a NBA player. There's a reason that all of these teams have simply let him walk. Those are the kind of "lottery ticket" types of players that contribute to building a terrible non-winning culture like in Houston and Detroit.

What's up with Grant Williams? He's a competent NBA player. Sign him and try to flip him later? Sign him, make the Celtics match, and then see what they do with maxing out Jaylen Brown? It's the super duper extra special max so maybe that puts them in a tough spot.

If we sign Grant Williams, we all of a sudden have several capable, if low end, starting quality players, plus some decent rotation guys like Deni an Kispert.

Makes sense.

But, given where we are, what other changes do we make this off season?

We're at 16 guys, but it looks like at least 6 of them have no real role in our future (Shamet, Wright, Gallo, Muscala, Gill & Cooks). Doesn't mean that all 6 will be gone by the start of the season, but it seems likely that 3 will be.

IOW, we might expect another 2 or 3 new Wizards.

I'm frustrated that we didn't manage to get Martin & Garuba from Houston, but gone is gone.

In addition, we have room for 2 more 2-way players. Any thoughts on that front...?

Oh okay, I guess we are waiting for the Poole deal to come online. Seems like after a flurry of activity the rest of the moves stalled in place. If it is because we are waiting for the deal to go live then there may be other moves we don't know about that will only be seen tomorrow or in the coming days. Or, in waiting on this deal maybe opportunities slipped by while we are waiting to see if we have the roster spots.

Sign up Bol Bol (Bol) and Oubre. Peak swag lineup with Poole and Kuz. Watch Terd go from orange to purple.

If Grant Williams had value on a new, expensive contract, then other teams would be stepping up to sign him to one.

Grant Williams has absolutely no offensive game except catch-and-shoot 3's. That's useful on a team with enough stars to draw defensive attention, but it's not very useful on a team like ours that will struggle to score. He is the wrong player for us.

He would make a ton of sense in Dallas.

Was about to ask the same question!

If so -- it's a bow-down moment, nate! Impressive!
