Atlanta pitches more seconds to get rid of Rudy Gay.

Brogs/Gay/PP/Kornet/Champagnie and picks for Siakam.

So much still up in the air. Not sure if either, both, or neither of Brown or Brogdon will be back.

I’ll still be surprised if Brown is not extended. Brown to Portland makes no sense because he won’t resign there

Brad with another fleecing. The Mavs have to be right up there with the Clippers for worst run organization in the NBA :clown:

Yeah, I always thought Atlanta was his best destination, with an outside shot at Houston.

I'd be surprised if we use the TPE. Doing so means going over the 2nd apron. If we were willing to go over the 2nd apron in this, I think we'd just take Reggie Bullock back who's a very solid 3&D player on an expiring deal.

Seems like this was just us deciding it wasn't worth paying Grant. So we extracted some value out of it. Good job by Brad to hold out for such a high price from Dallas that it enabled us to get some assets and still be able to offload the salary we'd have to take back. But it does stink to lose a decent/good player for nothing. Not crippling though.

If Brown is moved it will be a three team deal

Now trade talks are reportedly picking up around Pascal Siakam, with the Atlanta Hawks and others ramping up negotiations centred around the star forward. According to Sportsnet's Michael Grange, "there is persistent speculation" that Siakam could be dealt prior to the regular season or "perhaps much sooner" as the NBA's wild transaction market starts to cool off a bit over the coming weeks.

Grange added added that throughout a tumultuous 2022-23 campaign, VanVleet and Siakam grew "deeply frustrated" with their younger teammates throughout the course of the season, as losses to inferior opposition began mounting.

According to Grange, the Raptors' young stars did not take kindly to their patronizing older teammates, creating a divide in the locker room that Nurse and his staff could not bridge.

Celtics don’t have to use the MLE. The Celtics just got a $6.5 TPE

Again depends on other trades

OK, now toss one of those bad boys to Atlanta for you know who!

I'm not sure what the game plan is with all of these 2nd rounders.

Imo we are going to commit to brown then have to commit to tatum and already committed to unicorn. So having extra seconds and a extra 1st gives us better chances of signing 12 through 15 rookie minimum guys and also packaging them up for trade up and or future considerations. Love the flexibility
Brown's #1 fan on this forum.
