Sportract has us 3.8 under the apron, I would guess Brad signs two more mins to fill out roster and doesnt use the mid unless he wants to move on from Kornet/Charlemaign/other.

Again, I'm sure more trades are coming.

We also traded a non-shooter (Smart) for a good shooting big man (Porzingis), which you conveniently left out :noway:
Nothing wrong with having a different opinion - as long as it's done respectfully. It'd be lame if we all agreed on everything :)

We need wing defense, and unless Wyc ponies up, this is basically our roster.

Am I crazy or is it crazy that neither side of the Celtics/Brown extension talks has really leaked anything of importance this far? Seems like by now there would be some kind of information put out by one side or the other as to why an extension hasn’t happened. All I’ve really seen are several vague tweets /reports that an extent is imminent.

everybody is talking about sending this guy (brown) or that guy (brown/brogs) but I just hope Luke isn't back. I dont care, I just don't like him as a player. I'll cheer him with the best of us if he's still a Cs, but please send him out Brad.

If the Celtics can trade Brogdon to a team for a $8-9 million player and a TPE. It opens a lot of avenues for the Celtics with a $13.5 - $14.5 million TPE, $6.2 million TPE and the $5.0 million tax payer MLE. I still think Brogdon gets moved.

Bamba sucks. He's a terrible NBA player. He was just drafted high because of measurables so everyone thinks they can fix him. Kornet is a better player, Bamba is that bad.

Bamba can actually hit a three and block a shot. Kornet isnt even a nba level talent.

Brogdon to Utah
A couple of 2nds (both from Utah) and maybe w contract to BRK
Royce O'Neal and Kelly O. to Boston

Yeah, our PG situation wouldn't be ideal.... but we would get some grit and shooting back. Plus, with Point-Tatum maybe a vet min PG would be enough to get by *cough Rondo * cough *player coach *cough

White, PP, Baton
Jaylen, O'Neal
Tatum, Hauser, Walsh
KP, Kelly O
Rob, Al

Or, you know do tge ATL deal sending Jaylen out for Trae and Hunter and get some depth back.

He may not be the best basketball player, but he's a real trend-setter with that kornet contest. Speaking of which, do you think we'll see Zingis dust that one off and try it out this year?

Being smart about roster building means not paying a guy over $13 mil a year who is at best the 9th best player (and 4th best big) on your team - especially with the new CBA.

Ummm... Derrick White?

Jordon Walsh too. I expect him to play this season and get some meaningful minutes.

I would add Brisset as well. Meaning high energy without needing the ball.

I actually enjoy that, it's funny. i don't hate the guy but i wish we would give that spot to a developmental big if we don't get someone through trade.

Im still advocating trading for lillard but keeping brown

Brogdon , White, Pritchard + 3 firsts for Lillard
Make it a 3 team trade to get portland what they want

Dame - Banton
Jaylen - Hauser
Tatum - brisset
Zinger - Horford
RW3 - Horford

Im fine with that sign some ring chasers and cs are golden

Smart, White and Brogdon was too much. We only needed 2 …. but we needed 2. When Smart got traded, Brogdon became an essential piece - at least for this year. Salary may need to move later. Losing Smart’s playmaking and leadership is going to hurt but White/Brogdon can assume most of the minutes especially since White can play a lot more minutes. I love Grant but he was out of the rotation and KP is a huge upgrade.
"I think the criticism's stupid," Stevens said. "So I don't care. I'm with Jaylen (Brown) on that. Those two had achieved more than most 25 and 26 year olds ever had. I'd rather be in the mix and have my guts ripped out than suck."

White is untouchable to me, no thanks. I'd rather trade Rob than White.

Return to Boston Celtics
