Players I'd like with the TPE that might be possible if we throw in the right draft capital (in reality I think most/all of these are likely kept by their current team):
  • Rubio
  • Avdija
  • Stewart
  • Little
  • Vassell
  • Tre Mann
  • Nesmith
  • Dosunmu
  • Otto Porter Jr (If it's a 6.3M TPE - it seems unclear right now whether it's 6.2 or 6.3M)
  • Bey

Anthony fits but I just don't like his style for our team, but maybe the most likely to get dealt for cheap.

There others that fit where I'm certain those teams will definitely not trade them.

They wouldn’t take most all of these guys for that money imo. Anthony could be a swing for now and later - compare him to Jalen Brunson at that age.

There is, of course, a likely disconnect between what I'd like them to do with it and what they will do with it, if anything.

Anthony is a decent young player, I like him, I just don't think it's a swing for now for us because of style fit, especially with JB here.

White/Brown/Tatum/Al/Zinger

Caruso/Hauser/DDR/Brissett/Rob

Brogdon and PP and GS pick and seconds for DDR.

Otto Porter Jr. and seconds into the TPE. Two months later, Porter Jr. and Kornet and Boston ‘24 first and more seconds for Caruso.

That lineup is deep and lit. Resign Blake for the 4th big man along with Banton and JD and Walsh and a vet min PG from somewhere.
Edit: Actually just do it all at once, can use Champagnie and keep Kornet. Just not sure if they go over the second apron adding Porter. Might need to hold off on signing end of roster guys first until trade is done then just live over the apron.

Who are the small salary guys we can deal with the tpe to stay under? Pritchard and Hauser?

Another high usage guys that’s not Dame seems like a bad fit.

The problem with DeRozen is that he’s a negative to your offense when he doesn’t have the ball. And that’s pretty big when he’d have to share the ball with 3 better players. Just a bad mix

lol at people that thought Grant Williams would bring back a first round pick. lol at people that thought he was worth or going to get $20 million per year.

Yep, I want great quick decision ball handlers and passers and low usage efficient depth with decent defense. DDR is a nice player but not a good fit here.

Personally, I would've just S&T'd Grant for Franz Wagner and a protected 1st but I'll just trust Brad that he knows what he's doing.

Different name I’d love to get is pg Andrew Nembhard from pacers with a small portion of the tpe or trade. Great pg fit for for cheap price if possible

I'd imagine he's completely untouchable to Pacers without something ridiculous.

Safe to say, Blazers fans want Jaylen over Herro Pupu Platter.

These are some guys you realistically could get with TPE. Would likely have to move Pritchard out and give up 2nd or 2nds.
Rudy Gay-would likely come really cheap
Otto Porter- same as above
Deni Avdija- may take some more draft capital unless they like Pritch
Nassir Little-see above
Kenrich Williams- could be interesting they need mins for young guys
Ricky Rubio- not sure
Jonathan Kuminga- would GSW give up on him this easily? Probably not unless got real value back.
Cole Anthony-may take some capital.
Isaiah Stewart- maybe too high of price.
Davion Mitchell-same as above.
Jalen Smith- not sure Pacers want to give him up

Dame deserves better than to play for one of the favorites to win it all though.

FWIW Forsberg says we're 7 million below the second apron. No idea where he got that number. I have us around 178M for 14 players - everyone we've signed and drafted and counting Kornet and Davison

What's Keith Smith saying? He seems to be the most dialed in

I mean, seems clear where he got his number. You’re counting guys who are not under contract (Davison, Walsh).

The 2nd apron is $182.5M. We are currently at $177.5M ($5M below) for 13 players.

White / Brogdon / Banton
Brown / Pritchard
Tatum / Hauser
Porzingis / Brissett / Champagnie
RWilliams / Horford / Kornet

My guess is Forsberg isnt counting Champagnie since he’s not guaranteed. So that gets you to $7M.

But we have to fill in the roster so waiving him to save $2M will be cancelled when you fill the spot.

Brad’s probably gonna need to trade Brogdon for a smaller salary role player for us to be able to use the MLE.
Good assessment:

PLO wrote:Tatum played OK - took advantage of a few mismatches - decent on the defensive end. He is what we thought he was going into the season - a technically very proficient player operating close to his career ceiling as a rookie.
