Still a lottery team, honestly who are the better than out West? I'd say Spurs improved more than the Rockets, I guess Blazers are up in the air. Bottom 3 team out West still.

just getting a functional vet PG on that roster will do wonders

but still a lotto team, the West is too deep. other than Spurs/Rockets who's a bad team in the West right now? maybe Portland if they trade Dame that's about it.

That would be the Raptors.
$150 M in salaries 2023. Lottery team.
$160 M in salaries 2024. Still a lottery team likely because they got worse.
Weird because I heard that every single player on that team was worth 47 first round picks.

Nah homie, we gave out those contracts while we were still a playoff team. We were 20th in salary last season.

Being a Rockets fan, you must have forgotten what it feels like to have players that worth something on your team. Don't worry though, I'm sure Freddy will give you that feeling back again.

So you were a playoff team and you gave out a lot of huge contracts and became a lottery team. And you’re still a lottery team. With all those huge contracts.

That’s not the brag that you think it is.

Idk but Amen looks amazing. He looks like he will immediately join the Edwards/Ball/Hali Tier.

I really thought they were going to go hard at trying to acquire Harrison Barnes for stability in their locker room. If I'm senguns agent I'm trying to get him outa there.

What huge contracts? We only have Siakam making over $30 million, and he's an All-Star.

We're the team that doesn't hand out stupid contracts. You're thinking of the Rockets.

I think people forgot how much the Celtics struggled in the first half of Ime’s season

There was some infighting and chemistry issues that eventually got resolved because the Celtics players are smart and mentally tough and because Ime held them accountable

While I think Ime will be extremely tough on the Rockets I don’t think they are wired to handle it well.

I think Ime is a good coach but I have a feeling the Rockets fit will be a disaster. They don’t defend, they don’t pass, they don’t play as a team.

I think it gets ugly.

25ish wins

We’re not the team that believes every player on our team is worth 40 first round picks. Even though all of them together couldn’t even make the playoffs. In the East. That’s the Raptors.

LOL the East was stronger than the West this year. And seriously a Rockets fan talking about the playoffs? C'mon now. You don't believe your players are worth anything because they aren't worth anything. Excuse us for not having trash players. but good for you and Fertitta for saving money.

And FVV is very much not an All-Star anymore man, temper your expectations. Siakam at least still could be one again.

This weird vitriol from the Raptors fanbase is amusing.

If Sengun gets the keys, i see them maybe slide in to the playins, with a little bit of luck. If they still play the run and gun through that bum Jalen Green, they wont improve much. tbf, KPJ is probably not starting anymore, so thats a major W.

I think Houston will improve 8ish games to 30 wins but still fall in the 14th-13th seed.

I could see anywhere from 30-42 wins out of this team...with how deep and good the West is though i'd lean somewhere towards like the 33-35 wins total and the 11-13th spot in the West

Their coach is probably the best move they made this offseason imo. That's the only thing really preventing me from just roasting this thread. Brooks was the worst addition they could have added to that team... a roster full of young players who're semi-out-of-control... lol. And you decide to bring Brooks into that locker room??? 100's of players to choose from, that guy was the absolute worst possible addition imo.

FVV isn't going to compliment this roster at all imo. He's a chucker, and he's playing with a bunch of kids who also want to be chuckers. His signing doesn't even make sense to me from a positional need standpoint.

They'll probably win more games than last year, but they're still lottery-bound.

FVV was the closer of the Raptors when they won the championship in 2018-19, just 4 years ago. And he was so good that he even got a vote for Finals MVP over Kawhi.

Google what he did against the Sixers in 2019, should be enough to permanently disqualify any positive mention of that PO run for FVV.

He's such an evil person and teammate they only offered $110M guaranteed to keep him around for another 3-4 years
