"Dallas and Boston discussed roles with Van Gundy before beefing up their coaching staffs. "

Van Gundy would have had this squad in the finals last year. Bubble gum Joe is hanging by a thread .

Love to know what he has left. One of my favorite coaches - can he do the Hubie Brown and come back from TV?

Every other week will be some story about him complaining about how racist the city is and how “we’ll just have to wait and see” about him reupping at the end of the season. Plus it’ll be a one year rental and then he’s gone even IF they were to win a championship because of the fact that he does not want to be here at all. Just doesn’t make long term sense to trade for this clown despite how perfect the roster would look on paper.

"One year rental" he's got 4 years left my dude

Lol I guess I got him confused with somebody else. Why wouldn’t we trade for him then?? Trade JB and picks for his ass right now and let him be unhappy. Dame, White, Tatum, KP, Timelord is the most balanced starting lineup in the league :D

I feel like the C's may be overcorrecting from last year's 3pt-fest, going for a lot of bench players with no shooting at all this time around:

The Boston Celtics are bringing in forward Alize Johnson for a workout this week, HoopsHype has learned. The five-year NBA veteran is considered a high-motor player and rebounder. 2 mins ago – via Michael Scotto @ HoopsHype

Unless this is a Maine signing situation, not going to be happy with signing THIS guy. 27 years old now.

Also said this all year about Grant:

"Since last fall, when Grant Williams and the Celtics were unable to come to terms on a contract extension, Boston’s brass insisted publicly and privately that Williams remained a part of the franchise’s long-term plan"

Meaning, I'll believe it when I see it

LOL and we're back to trying to fill the roster with scrubbies... TPE could still be used apparently.

White | Brown | Tatum | Porzingis | Timelord
Brogdon | Pritchard | Hauser | ?? | Horford
Banton | Walsh (?) | Brissett | ?? | Kornet

Ok. So... if Dame really isn't in play then what's Brad's plan?

As is the team is good, but still feels like something is missing. Letting go of Grant for little money, acquiring all these picks, I have to believe something else is going down.

I don't blame them especially since Dame is seemingly not going to corporate if he doesn't end up in Miami.
