Don't worry about it. If Stevens can't get this Garuba, there's always the next one (https://www.proballers.com/basketball/player/183799/sediq-garuba). What do you think those seconds are for lol ?

This pretty much sums it up. All this noise is fun to talk about but it is really just noise. The Celtics have had tremendous success with the JT/JB combination. They are not about to break that up heading into their prime, especially after adding a legit 3rd piece like KP. Some of the concerns of JB are legit but at the end of the day the results speak for themselves. Few players have this much consistent success at such a young age.

One thing I find funny, not once has brown or anyone in his camp said he doesn't want to be on Boston or that he doesn't like it there, but people have said the last 2-3 years that they don't want him on the team partially because he doesn't like Boston and doesn't want to be there (MADE UP).

The SAME people hear out of Dame's OWN mouth, all REPORTS say it, all the top scoop guys say it, and HIS AGENT said that he doesn't want to be there and doesn't like Boston the city, but yall would give anything for Brad to bring him in anyway!

COMEDY! Stop trying to cloak your disdain for brown with made up things but willingly bend over backwards to ignore it in Dame's case.

Derrick White and Jayson Tatum are **** bargains. I guess that allows us to overpay JB lol.

I think people are underestimating how getting rid of Smart could be a net positive for the team specifically because it cements White as basically the top guy in that position. Touches that would have gone to Smart will go to White instead, and that's a huge win in my book.

That is broken logic. It doesnt work like that.

Last season: fgas
Smart - 9.9
Grant - 6

KP 15.7

Shots that Marcus and Grant took will be going to KP.
You think White is going to be taking 18 shots a game now?

He MIGHT get 1 more shot....maybe on a good day, 2.

Team took 88.8 fga last season
Lost 15.9 fga in notable players
Gained 15.7 in notable addition

There is no more shots, unless Jaylen and Tatum give up touches. Or Brogdon gives up 11 per game, or horford his 7.

Alsoi I would not be the least bit surpriced to see team FGA and PACE drop this season with Smart and Grant out. Our defense has taken a pretty big hit, I think other teams score more now as we will not have a top 5 defense. Less stops means less runouts.

Just look at the minutes from last year. Barring certain big trades White is playing a lot more.

Probs.

doesnt mean he is going to be taking 15 shots a game as opposed to 9 or so he had last season.

He was over 30 minutes a game and 10fga since Jan 1st. He isnt going to get much more than 4 or 5 minutes above that.

At Most.

Sure but tbf touches doesn’t always mean the same as shots.

Look if you have an issue with KP, a much better player, taking the shots that Marcus and Grant took last year then I don't know if there is really anything else I can say here other than role players are interchangeable and don't fall in love with grit.

I suspect Stevens is kicking the tires on dealing the combo of Brogdon, Rob, Hauser, Pritchard, Champagnie and picks for Lillard.

Once Lillard is either dealt to Miami or Portland take him off the market, can see Stevens routing the combo above elsewhere for better fits.

Rob's too injury prone and doesn't shoot 3's. Brogdon's also very injury prone and likely not happy about nearly being dealt...

You will not need to worry about that with a legit 3rd option on the team now. JB's usage will drop below 30% assuming the JT and KP have reasonable healthy years.

It's pretty obvious at this point that Dame is an enormous pos. And we already knew that he was a career loser well before he exposed himself for being a scumbag. I want no part of this dweeb. Especially for $40+ million
