Video clip is weeks old, and the caption provided in the tweet itself does not reflect what's said in the clip. Pure nonsense.

And since then multiple reporters (as recently as today) have reiterated the fact that he doesn’t want to play in Boston

He can wants whatever he wants, it doesn't matter. He ain't retiring.

What roster? Like I said yesterday, how much value do second rounders have when it cost you 4 of them for a bum like jae crowder.

They're absolutely useless.

Didn't we trade a couple seconds for Derrick White? They are more valuable than pick swaps anymore easily
ya hard to take someone seriously when they say something that's useful is absolutely useless lol

Both B Robb and Stu Greenie think the Celtics are going to make another trade.

If traded he would. But regardless it's not gonna happen.

I've really thought a lot about this today for no good reason cause ultimately it doesn't matter what any of us think. But, anyways.

1. I think if you can trade for Dame not using Jaylen. You do it and take a shot at winning the title and sign Jaylen and figure out the finances next off season.

2. You think it's gonna take Jaylen. You punt. Keep trying to drive up Miamis price point. Be a good actor for Portland and make it uncomfortable. But you can't deal Jaylen.

3. The reason I feel like you can't deal Jaylen is this. To me in my heart I don't think Jaylen is a great fit next to Jayson but you give it another year with this iteration (some real changes). If you win. Keep it moving. If it doesn't happen again you have Jaylen on a deal and in his prime years and able to leverage that next off season ro soft reset. You have Jayson, White and Porzingis. You can get young players and assets to help set you up for the next Star who wants to leave or team that needs to move off one. Embiid, Greek Freak, Luka or more likely Donovan Mitchell in Cleveland or Kat or maybe a revitalized Zion. And you may argue Jaylen is better than those guys. You maybe correct but those guys maybe a better fit. Regardless I think you keep your options moving.

DFS? Royce? Need more.

What’s people’s issues with it? I mean, those guys are worse than Grant who couldn’t get off the bench last year when they had fewer All-Star big men than they have now.

Well, I suppose I look at a roster that I don't think is all that deep, and is also reliant on too many injury prone players.

KP, Rob, and Al, 2 of these 3 bigs are injury prone and the other is aging. Our 6th man, backup PG and leading bench scorer is also unreliable due to injury.

Whereas the team was 8 deep if you want to count Grant, it's down to 7 now with him gone. And shoot, if Gallo came back healthy he could've provided some good buckets too, he's also playoff proven, giving us 9 guys.

We just need some quality PROVEN depth imo.

It's not happening anyway, but I bet Brad could care less

Dame is fake as hell, he's been fake for a while tbh. He would report and play because he doesn't have the balls to sit out
