I'm not sure you understand how involvement works. He doesn't have to be the one assaulting her to be involved in the situation. There would also be no "extent of his involvement" if it "didn't involve him at all," so right there you're contradicting yourself.

I don't think you understand involvement. He was not involved in the slap at all. Simply being in proximity of the event does not equate involvement. So I'll say it again - he was not involved in this altercation. I also was not contradicting myself at all. The extent of one's involvement being traced to his proximity to an event does not constitute being actually involved in the event.

You can continue to whine about semantics if you want but I really don't care. Victor had nothing to do with this incident and it is pathetic that TMZ is trying to paint it like he was

He was not merely "in proximity of the event," like he just happened to be in the same general location when it happened, the event revolved around him. She tapped him on the shoulder because she wanted a photo with him. Did you even read the article? Spurs security didn't slap a famous person completely at random, and if they did it would just be even worse PR for your team than it already is, so I'm not sure why you're wanting to paint that picture just because you're paranoid that people will blame the golden boy.

The stan already popping off and the season haven't even started.

A later report says that when security video was reviewed, it appears that when the guard knocked Britney’s hand away from Wemby, it was her own hand that hit her face. Details still being sorted out.

Waiting for somebody to post that crazy old “leave Britney alone” video…

Wemby isn't in any way to blame so to focus on him as being implicated in any way is disingenuous.

There's also this aspect of it:

And we should probably wait to see how the story further develops as it's already changing:

UPDATE8:22 AM PT -- Law enforcement sources tell TMZ, the man listed on the police report as the one who slapped Britney Spears is Damian Smith, the Director of Team Security for the Spurs. Our sources say it is not being handled as a criminal matter, because cops determined Smith was not trying to hurt Britney but rather defend Victor Wembanyama.

Nothing to do with Wemby tbh...they're already trying to use his name/image to garner clicks. Smh

How can you say this story has nothing to do with Wemby when it literally involves Wemby? It also involves the Spurs organization, who I'm sure will be looking for a new Director of Team Security.

They should that's embarrassing. Guy should be fired on the spot.

Sometimes the news fairy just comes down and gives us the news gold and that's what this story is. You can't make this up. Over/under days before footage of the slap leaks. I say it'll leak in less than 3 days.

Why? Because he knocked away a hand of someone touching his client without his consent? He didn't square up and go 12 rounds with her face. People trying to pretend like Spears wasn't completely out of line remind me of folks who downplay female teachers assaulting their students. Get rid of that double-standard. She's not a victim in this. She's fine. A guy did his job and did not go overboard. That she's famous shouldn't change that.

That's it, I've been converted. Wemby is going to be a superstar. The fact that he's got even famous people losing their ****, he only has one way to go. Up. Luckily for him he can go home to Europe in the summers to avoid American **** like Jokic.

It must be super surreal first public experience for him.

Knowing team high jinx and pranks, teammates will be blasting "hit me baby one more time" for rest of the season.

What footage?

She had a "traumatic experience" and wants an apology from Wemby, the team, and someone else I forget I think the security who hit her hand which hit her face which caused her to nearly fall.

That's completely unacceptable. Its your duty from now on to blast all the guilty pleasure 90s tunes we grew up with in end of each class.

I do play some of that music, some to teach them good music, some to show them, horrible music.
