The more I read about this the more I feel like Brittany thinks she gets to live by a different code.

Rule 1 when dealing with Brittany- if you don’t know her - don’t touch her....

Wemby saying “Brittany - I don’t know you so don’t touch me”

Britney: It's Britney, b!tch!

*Proceeds to assault Wemby*

Security guard: The power of Christ compels you! The power of Christ compels you!

Britney: What? I didn't grab him! I just tapped him waaaay up on the shoulder.

Security guard: Miss, unhand him, immediately!

*Whispering*

Britney: It's Britney, b!tch.

So … a woman that used to be famous in the 90s and 2000s Brittany Spears is seeking an apology from the Spurs, Yama, and Yamas security guard.

Brittany Spears filed a police report for Yamas team hitting her, knocking her glasses off at Aria hotel LV. She says Yamas account of what happened is a lie.

And he needs to train his people not to hurt fans. She has people ask Hee for photos and she doesn’t hit them

True story. Just happened

Wemby should ask for a meeting with Brittany and slap her again

It's good for Wemby to experience this kind of b.ll early on his career.

They should that's embarrassing. Guy should be fired on the spot.

Why? Because he knocked away a hand of someone touching his client without his consent? He didn't square up and go 12 rounds with her face. People trying to pretend like Spears wasn't completely out of line remind me of folks who downplay female teachers assaulting their students. Get rid of that double-standard. She's not a victim in this. She's fine. A guy did his job and did not go overboard. That she's famous shouldn't change that.

A person gently tapping someone on the shoulder reminds you of teachers assaulting students.....

This is taking an ever weirder turn with now her husband posting some moralisms about respecting women and proper treatment of fans and vetting of employees. Like all those things are true in general but the ongoing attempts to both keep this in the public all the while increasing drama feels odd.

That's not to minimize what actually happened but the story keeps shifting and her weird behaviour is overshadowed.

We went from her getting slapped and falling to her hand getting hit which hit her face knocking out her glasses and falling to not actually falling...

All the while what precipitated it is her calling out to Wemby in a British accent and trying a couple of times to get into his circle, eventually grabbing/pulling/touching him at which point the security guard reacted.

It can all be true that security reacted harshly (isn't it his job to protect first? What if this were a true dangerous weirdo who got too close?) and that Spears was too persistent and touchy and weird with the British accent and even after talking with security we have these dramatic statements by Spears and her husband.

Backgrid was filming her walking in. Backgrid is a pro pap org which celebs contact to get photographed and then profits are shared on both sides.

I'm not disputing that Spears got somehow hit but the weird moralizing drama victimhood while the story changes and her pursuit with paps in tow is a weird confluence of conflicting intentions.

Now her rabid online fans are all in a frenzy blaming Wemby and sending him death threats.

Just feels off beyond the central point of someone got too close and security reacted.

It's kinda **** up that people defend security hitting random people, people kinda naturally excuse violence on the internet.

Like if you saw me get tapped on the shoulder in public because I dropped something and someone tried to hand it to me, and I whacked them, not a single person in the world would side with me in that scenario if I didn't apologise. You can't just do whatever you want because you're a security guard, wtf.

Guys online are the worst with this ****, it's pure machismo and you'd never act like this. You don't go around hitting people in public. If someone is hurt, you apologise, these are the most basic rules of civilised behaviour, come on people.

But you're not comparing like things. This isn't a random person to person on the street interaction.

How she got hit is already in dispute. Why she got hit is as well. She said she just tapped him ignoring her pursuit and repeated push into his circle to touch him.

She of all famous people should understand that you don't go around pursuing and touching people with a moving crowd and security around them. Nobody knew who she was and she got too close. You can't just do whatever you want because you're famous and security should make an exception for you. Safety first ask questions later.

Idk man I think running up on someone from behind who has a security detail in tow is a bit different than giving Joe Nobody his wallet back after it fell out of his pants pocket when he exited the latrine.
And you'd think Spears would know this as well as anybody.

Wemby is a potential billion-dollar asset. The security might face minor charges, but that's their job. If Wemby gets stabbed or something that person has let down thousands of people that depend on them to do their job.
No matter how you feel about it though, it doesnt really reflect on Wemby in any way. The only ones potentially at fault here are Spears and the security detail.

Feels like she is getting really close to Karen level

Wemby doesn’t need to learn how to treat his fans...

What are you talking about -

If you run up on Obama, trump, Brittany or wemby and GRAB them from behind you getting your @$$ handed to you...

If you run up behind the Random dude on the street and grab him from behind and he doesn’t know you - you might catch hands or WORSE.

Stop acting like she was trying to return his wallet. She doesn’t know him...she had no right to invade his security bubble...

Real world - she can’t act like a princess. Play by the same rules Brittany

It's really not even about whether Spears is anything to Wemby. His back was to the whole situation and did what security told him ahead of time - keep walking. No one knew it was her. Agree completely about the last sentence.

I'm not sure you understand how involvement works. He doesn't have to be the one assaulting her to be involved in the situation. There would also be no "extent of his involvement" if it "didn't involve him at all," so right there you're contradicting yourself.

I don't think you understand involvement. He was not involved in the slap at all. Simply being in proximity of the event does not equate involvement. So I'll say it again - he was not involved in this altercation. I also was not contradicting myself at all. The extent of one's involvement being traced to his proximity to an event does not constitute being actually involved in the event.

You can continue to whine about semantics if you want but I really don't care. Victor had nothing to do with this incident and it is pathetic that TMZ is trying to paint it like he was

She was trying to get a photo with Wemby and tapped/grabbed him on the shoulder. He was involved but not to blame. He doesn’t need to apologize for anything here.

Yes if you're going to ignore everything else I've said. It's a pretty big parallel when it comes how society treats unwanted contact by women (especially older attractive woman toward young men). Brittany is not a victim. You don't have a right to touch someone. The aftermath has given this predatory and maybe racist overtones and has taken this from unfortunate to alarming.
