Yah no , 2019, 2020 were just better drafts. The Culver and Bolmaro picks were atrocious.

I cut him a little slack for Culver, he had just got the job had little prep time at the spot, tried to get fancy and get Garland (who was great) whiffed on that deal and probably gambled. Bolmaro definitely sucked, no excuses.

I wouldn't put alot of emphasis on summer league defense, barring a noticeable lack of effort.
Basically a pick up game, these guys are not in midseason form and have spent little to no time together on the court.
Some nice rebounds in traffic from Miller, nice lob to Minott, moving the ball and not being a ballstopper.

Interesting to watch EJ Lidell for NO, he was a talker in the draft last year, missed the whole year due to injury.

Our backcourt play really really bad today, not a lot of talent there.

But his D is worse than Vando. You can see that on D he’s not like a Minott or Dyson Daniels even in this game.

It's his very first SL game and the only reason he dropped to us is because he's a project. And he's had like 1 week of NBA coaching.

Minott and Daniels are in year 2.

Right but both players showed innate defensive acumen in their first SL.

There are two types of defenders, guys who fall asleep and guys who don’t.

I’m not seeing the always on gene in Miller.

well, Miller is good at least. Minott can be a nice finisher and energy defender with the right surrounding cast. T Williams can pass, but he doesn't look strong enough for this level. B Williams is super fast and a bucket getter, but he missed some open cutters, and made an entry pass to Minott that was 5 feet off somehow. Nobody else of note. Moore has made some good reads, and is playing some solid D, but he's trying to force offense and it's not working out at all.

Liddel does not look 6’6-6’7 . probably 6’3 ish.

Eventhough Moore Jr is a huge let down ( I honestly don’t know what Connelly saw in him) I really like the wolves young prospects, especially since there are no lotto pick draftees in the mix.

Brandon Williams looks good on O. Fast!

When people talk about Miami, they’ll give those types of guys minutes. Over players picked before them, too. Like, if Moore doesn’t look good, not saying he does or doesn’t, but if he doesn’t, just move on. Don’t get attached.

Can we get Miller and Minott back into the game please.

I still say Miller's ceiling is a taller Julius Randle with better D.

Great wall up and contest there from Miller.

Moore needs someone who can create offense. He hasn’t looked good at all.

Miller is playing pretty good. Definitely looks more like a center. Lost on defense easily. Makes bad gambles too.

Minott always playing hard and finding spots.

Nobody else worth mentioning.

Outside of Leonard and Minott, Williams has really caught my eye.

Looks somewhat better on ball, or in an obvious rotation.

Probably because he's one of the few with legit NBA experience coming into the game (Brandon, I'm assuming)

I want us to win this game. I always want us to win. I don't care if it's SL or preseason.

He’s 21 and kind of chucker-ish. He is athletic though.
He and Daniels look flashy but lack basketball IQ IMO.

I thought Carton would look better than he has.

I wanted NAW at #11 in that Culver draft. The we traded Saric and the rest was history.

NAW was slow to develop but I'm glad we finally have him.

How in the world is Jordan Hawkins pick 14 and Leonard Miller pick 33?
