Wemby stays healthy, always a concern when you're a stick figure, he's going to be fun to watch
I'm against picketing but I don't know how to show it.

On this note, I'm watching Friday Night WNBA and the two announcers and very solid, if not just good. I know nothing about the teams but these announcers made it good. The game down to the last second helps.

So it was about this point in Brandon Miller's first game that he was called a bust. Is Wemby now a bust too?

Wemby’s hands look much worse than I was expecting. Losing the ball with the slightest contact.

Dame could’ve passed on the 2 year extension and Portland would’ve gotten nothing for him. If Giannis wanted out at 33 to go to a contender, I’d be totally fine with it.

What if Giannis wanted out but demanded it be to one team who was only willing to give you some combination of Tyler Herro, the corpse of Kyle Lowry, Duncan Robinson, and a bunch of late firsts/garbage swaps? Then you asked for Martin and their last two draftees and they said no while Giannis’ agent tightened the screws by saying he would be unhappy anywhere else to strip you of the leverage to actually get the three semi-useful assets that you would want in the deal?

Because I get the vibe the Heat don’t want to give up anything besides picks and some combo of Herro/Robinson/Lowry and are trying to leverage Dame refusing to go anywhere else.

Honestly would not care. Especially when the alternative would’ve been him just walking and getting nothing in return. It’s not like that return is Marcus Morris, Batum and some seconds.

Portland drafted Dame’s replacement 3rd overall this year. They already shot themselves in the foot.

Insane take. Nothing is okay about him pouting his way to one team.

I think I’d rather have nothing.

Exactly, the "it's better to get something than nothing" reasoning doesn't make sense to me.

When I said that, I wasn't suggesting Portland trade Lillard for mediocre players on bad contracts. They will certainly have options to get something of value even if it isn't market value.

He looks okay out there, I appreciate it’s SL but 4 years/$12 mill seems good value.

Wemby being mostly horrendous in his debut was a fun surprise. If tonight was the only time you saw them play, you might think this years draft class was one of the worst of all time with him and Miller at the top.

it's going to be some step up for Victor against bigger, thicker NBA athletes.

Guys like Tucker will push him around. I would be keeping him far away from Giannis and Zion.

Wemby has a great Court awareness and plays an unselfish brand of ball. Passing instincts were great. Ability to initiate the break off rebound is high. Obviously defensive length is absurd.

However, his balance and hands looked worrisome, and are typically tough to improve. Maybe just a bad night, but he’ll be bumped all night, every night if he can’t play through contact. I also didn’t think his motor looked great, but maybe that’s conditioning related.

The cold motor stuck out to me. Surprising because I thought he was known for playing hard and being ultra competitive.

Yeah, he could be cold as hell and still have a 5 block impact on the game and give out some decent passes to wide open teammates. That's his floor which is incredible.

He missed a bunch of threes and dominated all over the court with his defense, rebounding, and passing. He was unreal out there.

Not for nothing, but he was tied with three other guys as the 5th leading rebounder in the game. He definitely was not dominating the glass. This was part of the “motor” observation.

The passing was definitely his highlight and he had a couple where the guy just blew the layup on what should’ve been an assist.
