A few players will shut it down after the next game, and then Sotto will probably start.

Before the game, a Pistons poster was comparing Ausar and Ivey to Penny and Kobe.

I would say that Black and Kevon looked better than them.

Wow, huge game for George. 33 and 10, 6-15 from 3 (40%). Dude is getting comfortable scoring and knocking down shots. I didn’t have him ranked all that high but it’s great to see him looking good.

It’s a shame Hendricks and Sensabaugh are out. Would have been nice to see them and George together.

Howard reminds me of KCP. An excellent role player to have beside Paolo, Franz, and Black.

How did you come to that conclusion especially with Black’s play?

Watching some skills moves by Rob Baker. The kid is silky smooth. I really like him for one of the two two-way slots still available.

Couldn’t watch the game. How was Jett’s Defense and his foot speed? Is he able to play and defend SG in the nba?

Kevon should be the only one shut down. Caleb need to play a couple more games and everyone else should play the rest of the games unless they get hurt.

Hahaha better stay away from it.

There really isnt a lot of Magic fan in the Philippines. So they don’t know how we run the minutes in summer league.

So, after he is cut, we can expect - 400 000 likes on facebook page ?

I know this number because I am weird, but Orlando had 2.5 million followers and 2.6 million likes before the Kai Sotto fans.

It's Summer League and first game at that, so not sure we should draw any conclusions yet. I was watching condensed highlights on League Pass and my impression was that:

a) Houstan looks a lot better than Howard, expected as he has a year of NBA experience under his belt - but Howard's shots are a bit flat comparing to Houstan's arc.
b) I don't think we could fit Fultz, Black and Suggs together on the court in this game. Experience might be only difference between Fultz and Black's game and opponent could simply switch to zone and let us die a slow suffocating death.

Sotto is not a serious player and the sooner the Pinoy's recognize it the better. Maybe 20 years ago he may have had a real shot.

Keyonte slipping is the most inexcusable thing. All the signs were there.

Utah's teams have smoothest transitions from one player to another without ever sucking for ages. It's incredible. From Deron, to Hayward to Mitchell to Lauri now.

Is he just not a hooper then? Feels like the media hype machine hyped up the 4th best prospect in the last 5 years (Zion, Paolo, Ant, Wemby, Cade). Better prospect than LeBron? Sheesh.

I'll have to go back through my post history and look for where I said there's a good chance Wemby won't ever be as good as Paolo is now and put it in my signature.

The media went way hyperbole with the greatest prospect in history claims. He moves more fluid compared to other players of similar height but he is still slower than the typical NBA player and the reality is that his effectiveness is far lacking because he tries to play like a guard but thus far that is ineffective. There is no reason he should be fading away on jumpers or trying to beat people off the dribble at the 3pt line.

Doesn’t matter, because his real benefit comes from the defensive side. There he is the best prospect since the Wilt/Russel era. Speaking of this two, I believe he is more of a Russel type, than Wilt type. More defense than offense, but on that side so sensational and game changing, that he will help his team win a lot of rings.
If he stays healthy, I don’t see a scenario where he won’t win at least 6 DPOY

I know nothing about Kai Sotto but thought it was weird we were putting a SG at the PF spot when they were playing two centers. Is Kai really that bad??

Might as well play Kai…can’t be much worse than DJ Wilson. It’s not workable to bungle uncontested rebounds in a tight game-even at the YMCA. I respect DJ still fighting for his Bball life, but no bueno.

Kevon looked strong …why the hell is he there? And why are they giving him so many minutes in the Kobe role?

kai sotto said dylan murphy talked to the 5 players who got dnp-cd, the priority is to give minutes first to the players under contract.

To me this is the best thing that happened to kai, he gets less exposure against nba talent.

When he does get in…he’ll likely get smashed & exposed. Perhaps the DET veteran bigs was deemed most likely to ruin him, so better to wait for a game where he might actually have a chance to please his fans. Strong rooks will likely play less as SL goes on and the sideshow commences fully.
